Model to Ss counting 52 with longs and shorts. 19 with long and short. Then count them all up
to get the answer.

Write 25+69=
Model to Ss. Call and Response. Fill in blank.
We do (guided practice):

State clear expectation on following directions before passing out materials.

Pass out mats to each Ss. Blocks to each table.

Put a problem on the elmo for Ss.
Write 55+12=
Instruct Ss to show 55. Give Ss one minute. Check answers. Continue on to 12.
Have Ss count up their answer, TNT to their neighbor, share out answer.

Have Ss clean up their table.
