flimproduction,tvansthemeparks.Italsofouseddivisonsontheater,
radio,music,andonlinemedia.Disneyhascreatednewcorporatedivisionsin
ordertomarketmoremature.TheCompanyisthebestknownfortheproducts
ofitsfilmstudio,itisthelargestandbestknownstudiosinHollywood.Anwell
knowncartoonofdisneysismickeymousewhichisthemostpopularsymbol
fordisney.Butmickeymouseisnottheonlypopularsignofdisney,butmovies
too.SomepopularmoviesareCinderella,SnowWhite,BeautyandtheBeast,Sleeping
Beauty,andmanymore.Thesemoviesteachkidsabouttrueloveandmanyother
importantlessonsthroughoutthestoryplotofaprincessfallinginlovewithaprince.

Inclasswewatchsixprincessdisneymovies.Themovieswewatchwere
Cinderella,SnowWhite,SleepingBeauty,LittleMermaid,BeautyandtheBeast,Aladdin.
Theywereallaboutprincessandhowtruelovemakesthemdostufftheyneverdid
before.Butalonetheyhavesomewhatdifferentstoryplots.Buttheyallofthemareabout
howtruelovealwaysfindsitsway.Theyalsodohavedifferentplotsandthemes.
Cinderellaisabouthowherfatherhasdiedwhenshewasyounger,andisleftin
unfortunatecareofhercruelstepmotherandherjealousstepsisters,astheirunfair
treatedservant.ButwhenPrinceCharmingholdsaball,cinderellaattendsduetotheaid
ofherfairygodmother.Shewearsabeautifuldressanduniqueglassslippers,butshe
hastobehomeatmidnightwhenthespellbreaksbutaccidentallyleavesherglass
slipper.Theprincegoesaroundtowntryingtofindwhoitfitstobewifeandlivehappily
everafter.However,SnowWhiteisthefairestprincessofthemall,buthercruel
stepmotherwantstobethefairestintheland.Whenhermotherwantstokillsnowwhite,
shehidesintheforesttoprotecther.Alongthewaysheshowsamotherfiguretothe
sevendwarfs.ThestorytellsabouttheadventureofSnowWhiteandtheSevenDwarfs.
ButonedaywhenSnowWhitebitesintothepoisonapple,ofherevilstepmother
disguisedasanoldladyandfallsinadeepsleep,onlyatrueloveskisscanbringher
back.

AlongwithCinderellaandSnowWhitewewatchothermoviesaswell.Another
movieisAladdin.AladdinisaboutinthelandofAgrabah,theirlivesaprincessnamed
Jasmine,andapoorboynamedAladdin.Asthecitytobeingsecretlytakingoverby
Jafar,AladdinisthespecialonethatcanhelpJafarfinallyhavehisdreamofbeingtheking
ofthecity.Aladdinthenfindshimselfwithagenieandthreewishes,hewishesto
becomeaprinceandfallsinlovewiththeprincessAladdinshowstheprincessthatshe
doesntneedtofollowordowhatherdadtellsherto,attheendeverythingisbackto
normalandAladdinandJasminefallinlove.AnothermovieisSleepingBeautywhichis
abouthowKingStefanandQueenLeah,welcomethebirthoftheirfirstdaughter,named
PrincessAurora.Theyhaveagatheringforpeopletopayavisittotheprincess,and
herchristening.ThreegoodfairiescalledFlora,Fauna,andMerryweather,whohave
cometoblessthechildwithgiftsofbeauty,song.ButbeforeMaleficentgivesheracurse
andsaysthatonthesunsetonhersixteenthbirthdayshewillprickherfingeronandwill
die.ButthenthefairyMerryweathergivesherthegiftofprotection,thatinsteadshewill
fallintoadarksleepandwillawakebyatrueloveskiss.Anothermovieislittlemermaid
whichisabouthowamermaidfromundertheseanamedArielfallsinlovewithahuman
beingmakesadealwiththeseawitchthatshewillmakeherhumanforhervoicebut
afterallshegetstobecomehumanandbewiththeloveofherlifeinthehumanworld.
ThelastmovieisBeautyandtheBeastwhichisabouthowameanprincehasacurse
onhimandhisservantswhoturnthemintofurnitureandotherthings.Buthelivesalone
inabigcastle,butontheotherhandinthevillage,theirlivesabeautifulgirlnamedBelle.
Butwhenthebeautytakesherashisprisonerheeventuallyfallsinlovewithherand
samewithher.Butwhenthelastpetalontherosefallshediesbutwithwhenhefinds
truelove,thecurseisliftedandbecomesaprinceandagainandtheylivehappilyever
after.

Ofcourseattheendofallthemoviestheprincessfindtrueloveandalllive
happilyeverafter!Butareallthemoviescompletelydifferent?Eventhoughallofthe
movieshavedifferentinplotstheyaresomehowconnectedinthemes.Somethingsthat
connectthemarehownoneoftheprincessdonotlivewithamotheroratleasttheir
biologicalmother,becausetheyarenotalive.Fromthatthegirlsactoutinawayandjust
dowhattheywant.Mothersinagirlsoranyonelifeshelpshapetheirpersonalityand
becomearolemodelandshowthemhowtodealwiththeworldandeventruelove.Just
likeinCinderellawhenherstepmothertoldhertonotgototheballshesneaksoutgoes
anyway.AlsohowinSnowWhitewhentheSevenDwarfstellSnowWhitetonotopen
thedoortoanystrangerswhentheirareatwork.Butshedoesitanywayandletstheold
lady(evilstepmother)inthehouseandthentakesabiteofthepoison,andpaystheprice
.InAladdinJasmine'sdadtellsherthatshecannotleavethecastlewalls.Soshe
sneaksoutandgoesouttotownandmeetsAladdinandgoonanadventure.Butshe
breakstheruleofherdadandrisksherlifetogointothetown.Iftheyhadmotherstobe
bytheirside,andguidethemintherightdirectiontheywouldn'thavebrokentherules
andputthemselvesindangerjusttohavefreedom.Whatdoyouthink?

Anotherwaythattheyareallconnectedisthateachmoviehasavillain,that
turnintosomethingordoessomethingreallycrueltoeachprincesses.InCinderellathe
queendoesn'treallychangeintoanythingbut,whentheKing'sassistantcomesand
looksforeverygirlinthehousetoshewho'sglassslipperitwasshelocksCinderellain
herbedroom.Cinderella'sFriendstheratslatercomeandhelpheroutbyretrievingthe
keyfromherpocket.SothenCinderellacomesandthestepmotherbreakstheshoebut
cinderellahastheextraglassslipperandtriesitonanditfitsandherandtheprinceget
marriedandlivehappilyeverafter.SnowWhitessalsojustlikethatbutwhenherevil
stepmothertellsthathuntertogokill,butdoesn'tshemakesaspelltomakeherturninto
anoldlady.Aftershemadeherselfintoanoldladyshegointothedwarfscottage,and
makesSnowWhitebiteintothepoisonapplethenfallsintoadeepsleep.Buttruelove
savesher.InSleepingBeautywemeetthevillainMaleficent,aftersheputsaspellon
Aurorathatsshewillfallasleeponhersixteenthbirthdayherfairygodmothersprotect
her,butwhenshebreakstherulesthefairygodmothersandtheprincehavetorisktheir
livestosaveher.WhentheyfindherandescaleherfromMaleficentcastleandprince
savesherfromthespellMaleficentturnsintoagiant,firebreathingdragon.Theprince
laterondefeatsher.Theylivehappilyeverafter.AnothermovieisTheLittleMermaid
whichiswhenwemeettheevilseawitchUrsla.InthemovieUrslamakeadealwithAriel
thatshewillmakeherhuman,butArielhastogiveUrslaherbeautifulvoice.SoAriel
becomesahumanandliveswithherloveofherlife.ButArielcanttalktohim.Sointhis
moviethevillainactuallychangesintotwodifferentcharacters.FirstUrsulachangesinto
ayoungbeautifulgirltomarrytheloveofherlife,andthenwhenEricisntunderherspell
anymorehesavesAriel.Ursulagetsreallymad,soshegrowsintothisgiantUrsula.But
everythingworksoutandArielbecomeshumanandtheygetmarriedandlivehappily
everafter.InthemovieBeautyandTheBeastthere'svillainwhichistheguythatloves
Bellebuthereallydoeslikehim.Butthebeastdoeschangefromaselfishprincethen
intoascarybeastandthenbackintoahandsomeprince.InthemovieAladdinthevillain
JafaristryingtotakedownAladdinandthecitytobecomethekingofthecity.Sowhen
Aladdingetsinhiswayofhisplan,sohebecomesagiantsnakeandtriestokillAladdin
andwhenthatdoesn'tsucceedhegrantsawishfromhisnewgenietobecomethemost
powerfulking.Whenhethinksthatnotpowerfulenoughhegrantstobecomeageniebut
thenrealizedthathenowhastobetrappedinthelampforever.

Anotherwaythatalltheprincessmovieshavesimilarthemesarethatthe
alhavetalkingthingsthatdontreallydoinreallife.TakeCinderellaforexamplesinceshe
livedwithhercruelstepmotherandstepsistersthatalwaysbossedheraroundshereally
didn'thavefriends.Soherfriendsweretalkinganimalsthathelpedherlivewithhercruel
family.Cinderellahasthatspecialrelationshipwiththemthattheycareaboutherso
much.InthemovieSnowWhitethereisalsorelationshipbetweenherandnature.When
shefoundoutthatherstepmotherwantstokillhersherunsintothecreepywoods.After
shegetslostshefindssomefriendsonthewaytohelpher,talkinganimals.Theyshow
herthecottageofthesevendwarfs.Theyhelpherfixandcleanupthecottageandagain
SnowWhitehasaspecialrelationshipwithanimals.Thelittlemermaiddoesn'thave
reallyalotofnaturebutsome.Arieldoeshaveatalkingfishabestfriendandacrab
Sebastian,andabirdthathelpsArielalongthepathtofindherloveofherlifethatI
human.IntheSleepingBeauty,aftersheiscursedandgrownupinthecottageshe
doesnthaveanyfriendssoshegoesoutsideandsingswithnature(bunnies,deer,birds
andetc).Fromsingingwithnaturethatleadshertoherprinceandtheloveofherlife.In
Aladdin,theirisalsousuallycreaturesthattalkbutareanimalsbutatalkinggenie.From
thegeniethegeniehelpsaladdinfighttheevilJafarandwinhisgirlthatheloves.Lastbut
notleastisBeautyandtheBeast,intheBeautyandtheBeastitsalittledifference.Just
likealaddintheirarenotalkinganimalsbutthere'sfurniture.Inthecastlewiththeprince
theiristalkingfurniture.Thatsduetothecircusthatwasputontheselfishprinceandit
wentonthewholecastle,soalltheservantsturnedintoeitheracandle,clockorevena
teacup.ButalongthewaytheyhelpthebeastlearnmannersandhowtobenicetoBelle.
Thateventuallyturnsintothemfallinginloveandeveryoneishumanagain!!!!!

ButIthinktheultimatethemethatconnectsthemisthatloveovercomeseverything.In
allthesixmovieswhenthereisaconflictorobstaclelovesomehowalwaysmakes
everythingokay.Inalotofmovies(takesnowwhiteforexample)aloveskisssavesher
andthesamewithsleepingBeauty.Ifyoureallylovesomebodyyouwillknowit.Allofthe
princesinthemovieshelpandsavedtheprincesses.Itstruelovedoesovercome
everything!!!!
