Rep. Dovilla Leads Small Business Roundtable
Strong Participation from Berea and Olmsted Falls Businesses

COLUMBUSState Representative Mike Dovilla (R-Berea) in conjunction with the Berea
Chamber of Commerce and Olmsted Falls Chamber of Commerce hosted a small business
roundtable discussion Wednesday evening.

Small business is the engine of Ohios economy. Thats why I engage frequently with these
job creators in our communities to learn more about what policies we can implement at the
state level to continue improving our states economic environment, said Dovilla. I
appreciate the participation in our roundtables of business owners representing industries
ranging from health care to restaurants to manufacturing. We will maintain our
commitment to these hardworking taxpayers to strengthen Ohio as the best place in the
nation to live, work, and raise a family.

Since the initiation of Rep. Dovillas small business roundtables three years ago,
suggestions and ideas brought forth by local businesses have been enacted into law by
legislation authored by Rep. Dovilla including:
House Bill 129-365 which allows small business owners to take advantage of tax
depreciation on capital investments;
House Bill 130-59 STEM education amendment to increase the number of STEM graduates
from high schools in preparation for 21
st
century jobs which NorTech called a potential
game-changer for Ohio; and
House Bill 130-77 which established October as Manufacturing Month to highlight Ohios
manufacturing sector and encourage workforce development for advanced manufacturing.
