Entry criteria for PhD

A Masters qualification (equivalent to a UK masters degree) from a recognised University.
Normally students are expected to have achieved a MERIT on their Masters qualification. We
require both the degree certificate and transcripts to be presented
An overall IELTS score of 6.5, with a minimum 6.0 on all four components or equivalent. (Please
check equivalency of other UKBA recognised test scores)

Entry Criteria for Academic English Courses

Students should be able to demonstrate reasonable level of English language before they are
accepted onto the course. Students with an IELTS level lower that 4.5 or equivalent may require a
telephone interview before a decision is made.
In order to be considered for a 6 month programme, students will need to demonstrate an IELTS
score of at least 4.5 or equivalent.
