    Foundation Stability for a Temorary Ram
    Fig.1 shows a proposed ramp composed of steel and timber
    girders with timber planks built for the access of construction
    plants and vehicles to and from ground level and lower levels
    of a deep basement site. Rock of unfavorable jointing is
    found at the top of the abutment where the ramp is supported.
    Suggest by drawing a diagram preventive measures to guard
    against the slipping of the ramp deck and the rock abutment
    into the lower basement.
