learnedhowtomakeinferencesearlierintheyearandwillnow,afterthereviewlesson,they
willhavetopracticeontheirownandsitetheirinferences.

Tellthestudentsthattodaytheywillonceagainlearnhowtoinferinastory,whichisastrategy
goodreadersusetounderstandastorytheyarereading.Tellthemthateverystoryhasclues
withinitthattellsthereadersomethingtheauthorthinksisimportant.Beginbyshowingthemthe
coverofChestersWay.Readthetitleandnameoftheauthoraloud.Explainthatthisisa
storyabouttwomicewhoarebestfriends.Onedayanothermousemovesintothe
neighborhood.
