Algebra Essentials:

123 = 4
12 = the dividend
3 = the diviser
4 = the quotient

Commutative operations:

Commutative means you can switch around the order of the
numbers
without changing the result!

Addition and multiplication are examples of commutative.

BUT; subtraction and division are noncommutative
operations. When you switch
around the order of the numbers the result changes:
eg>
6-4=2 , 4-6 = -2
52=5/2 but 2 5 = 2/5

Any number raised to the power of 0 = 1, so 1^0 = 1, 37^0 = 1
and 999,999^0 = 1

4^2 = 4.4 = 16 , so 16 = 4
can read as square root or as 'radical'

to find the GREATEST COMMON FACTOR of a set of
numbers, list
all the factors of each number.
A Prime # can be
by itself and 1
Primes , 2,3 ,5 7, 11,13,17

Composite # = all other numbers who are not prime (
other than 0 & 1 )
4,6,9
