Announcement of 2014 recipients of Lieutenant
Governors Award for Excellence in Ontario Wines

Toronto, June 27, 2014. The Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario is pleased to
announce the recipients of the fourth annual Lieutenant Governors Award for Excellence
in Ontario Wines. The Lieutenant Governor will present the awards at a ceremony and wine-
tasting reception in the viceregal suite at Queens Park on Wednesday, Jul y 9 in the presence
of members of the Toronto-based consular corps.

Eleven wines have been recognized as having attained a level of excellence. In total, 77 VQA
Ontario wineries submitted 275 wines in this years contest. In no specific order, the winning
wines for the 2014 competition are listed below.
