Boxplots
A box plot (also known as a box-and-whiskers plot) is a graphical display type well known to
statisticians. Box plots provide quick insight into the distribution of data.

also available as a new type of Reference Line that
you can add to an existing view..
Confgure the Box Plot
To congure a box plot, right-click the axis and
choose Edit Reference Line. Set the whisker
distance, specify whether to show individual
marks, and customize the appearance of your plot.

Choose Your Box Plot Style
Tableau offers a range of different box plot styles that you can choose from: Modern, Glass, Classic,
and Classic with Dual Fill.
