Section 1: ( 3 * 6 = 18)
1. A project required an initial cash investment of $ 5,000 and was expected to generate
inflows of $ 2,500, $ 2,000 and $ 2,000 for the next three years. Project sponsors wanted
a rate of return of 16%. Is this project worth funding?
2. Explain the software team organizations. What are the factors of software teams? Explain four
organizational paradigms.
3. What do you understand by software matrix? Explain the categories of software matrix. Explain
with suitable example.
4. Explain the counting rules of C language for Halsteads software science.
5. Explain the Step wise approach to planning software projects with neat diagram.
6. Explain all cost benefit evaluation technique with suitable example.

Section 2: (6 * 2 = 12)
1. A project size from 10 to 50 KLOC is to be developed with gap of 10 KLOC. Software
development team has average experience on similar type of projects. The project schedule is not
very tight. Calculate the effort, development time, average staff size and productivity of the
project.
2. Using Halsteads software science, find the Volume, Program Level, Program difficulty, effort,
estimated program length, Potential volume, estimated program level/difficulty, time and effort of
the following code.
