Sir,

SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF TRASH PUMP AND DRIVER MOTOR (LIFT STATION)

During routine checks at the Pump House, Maximum Security Prison, it was noted that the
number two (#2) four (4) inch domestic pump was not working.

A physical inspection was carried out on the pump and motor by Mr Peter Mouttet of L&W
Engineering, at which point it was stated that the grating noise and difficulty to turn over points
to damaged bearings, shaft and seals or within the pump.

This pump makes up one of two back-up pumps which has been invaluable in keeping the
compound supplied with water during down times of the main pump.

These pumps have been operational non-stop for the past nineteen years

Due to the extensive damage noted on this unit, it is not economically advantageous to repair. It
is advised that a new pump be purchased as a replacement.

The present configuration of the pump house lines and skid allows for only one model of pump
to be effectively installed without incurring extensive reconfiguration cost. Request for
Quotations were sent out the supply of two peerless pumps to replace the in-operable pumps.

A Quote for the supply was obtained from the sole supplier Engineering Agencies (Caribbean)
Limited

Unit Price VAT TOTAL
Engineering-Agencies (Caribbean) limited $38,797.00 $5,819.55 $44,616.55

Engineering Agencies (Caribbean) Limited is the recommended supplier.
