PUBLIC NOTICE

Subject: DISCONTINUATION OF EEG DURING INITIAL MEDICAL FOR CIVIL
AVIATION


1. The Electro-Encephalo-Graph (EEG) is currently being done as one of the
mandatory investigations during Class I Initial Medical Examination of all candidates/
aircrew.

2. It has been decided that with immediate effect, EEG shall no longer be
conducted during Class I Initial Medical Examinations except when indicated by the
following :-

(a) Individuals statements in Part 1 of CA-34
(b) History
(c) Examination findings
(d) Clinical suspicion during conduct of Medical Examination

3. The changed policy would be applicable prospectively only.

4. This issues with the concurrence of DGCA.
