The Reflection of The Heart
Russell, George W. says: Our hearts are drunk with a beauty our eyes could never see.
Beauty can be seen in many different ways. Society today tells us what specific things we should
find beautiful, also gives us a definite outlook on what beauty is. There are many ways to view
beauty such as; meaningful objects and places, Individual outer appearances, and through
love. These elements of beauty all require the desire of each individual heart.
Finding beauty in places and objects are really dependent on the individuals desire. Living
day to day we can sometimes forget to look at the environment around us like the trees and the
birds and think deeper than just what our eyes see; as well as the reality of the beauty behind it.
There are also many instances where we can personally have a strong like for and object or
something of value and meaning yet find it beautiful from the value that our hearts have carried.
Beauty can be viewed in many ways when it comes to objects and places; everything is just all
dependent on how you view the world. What interest you might not interest another and that is
beautiful with in itself.
Individual appearances are also a form of beauty. We see different people on a day to day basis
whether it be; work, school, or just days off. Seeing people from day to day makes us quick to
judge. Individual appearances of beauty can be seen on the inside and the outside. Beauty in the
media is primarily focused on the outer beauty and what they think beauty looks like. Some may

watch someone on TV who might be titled as the most beautiful person and someone might think
otherwise. The Color Purple is about a young girl named Celie who entangles so many barriers
in her life. Celie was told that she was ugly all her life and in the end the beauty was with-in her
heart and the strength that she built to stand up for herself and finally love who she was as an
African American Women. In conclusion to her story she became the most beautiful person
through her undeserving yet beautiful life circumstances.
Love is a beautiful thing. Love is expressed through someones heart and knowing that
someones heart is all for you can make one desire the person more. Through love you desire to
have someone that becomes your backbone. Love is how we are motivated from day to day and
without it some people would not have any beauty within themselves. Love is also a beautiful
thing because through love it creates human beings. When a child is being born of course you see
that it is small, cute, and everything that comes with it, but through the love of the parents it is
the beauty of love through their hearts that make that child more beautiful than the appearance.
Love can be a self-e steem boost as well. Knowing that someone loves you no matter what can
make you feel like the most beautiful person in the world and feeling good about yourself is a
beautiful thing.
In conclusion beauty can be described in so many different ways. Beauty really reflects on
the heart of each individual. Before we say something is ugly we should always look deeper and
understand the value of everything and everyone. Everything is just as beautiful as the world in
which we live in and the world is beautiful because it is a gift to all man-kind.
