RULES AND REGULATIONS

TEAM ROSTER
1. Team roster must submit their requirements on or before the deadline-August 17, 2014. Team
roster is limited 18 to 20 players only. Tournament will start

Sunday of August.
2. A member becomes official and frozen, upon submission and will not allow changing players.
All players shall play for only one team.
3. All teams must wear their respective uniform completed with number to identify the player. It
should be wear during their games. Basketball shoes are part of the uniform. Jewelries and
the like are not allowed to use during the game.
4. The team coaches are entirely responsible to inform and assure their players about the rules
and regulation of the League. All coaches are responsible for having legal proof of each players
age documentation (birth certificate) or (Drivers license).
ENTRY FEE
1. Teams are required to pay the entry fee amounting to 20,000Php on or before August 17, 2014.
Down payments can be applicable if it is half of the total amount and the remaining balance
should be settled after the opening of the league as cash only. No personal checks.
2. Entry fees are non-refundable.

PLAYING RULES
Clock
1. Game Clock: Games consist of Four quarters 10min each.
(a) Running time for 1

(b) The clock will stop on all fouls and violations only during the last 5 minutes of the 4
th

quarter of the game.
2. Grace Period:
A five minutes grace period will be allowed for tardiness. Another eight minutes will be
given for the team to submit at least five players to start the game. Beyond the time limits, a
game will be considered as forfeited.

3. Overtime:
All overtime consist of three minute periods with clock stopping for fouls and violations
in the last one minute.
4. Time Out:
(a) Each team will be given 3 time out.
(b) 2 full time out 1minute and
(c) 1.20 seconds time out

Note: Time Out will not be carry over to the next quarter.
(d) In case of overtime, 2 extra time out will be given.
5. Amateur rules (UAAP or NCAA Rules shall govern all the games of this tournament)
Fouls and Violations

1. Team Fouls:
a) Players can commit maximum number of 5 fouls per game.
b) Bonus shots will be given after the 6
th
team foul.
2. Technical fouls:
a) All technical fouls are counted as a personal foul.
b) A player who receives a technical foul must sit out of the game for three minutes
before he will be allowed back into the game.
c) If a player receives a second technical foul during the same game, the player will
be ejected from the tournament.
Pointing System
3-Pointer:
Standard amateur (UAAP/NCAA/FIBA) 3-point line will be utilized in all games.

Conduct
1. All participants, coaches and spectators shall refrain from using profanity or verbal abuse
towards other players, coaches, spectators, referees and the tournament staff.

2. The event is a drug and alcohol free tournament. Any coaches or player(s) engage in the use of
alcohol or drugs will be disqualified from further participation in the tournament.

3. Team coaches will be responsible for the conduct of their players. Teams and spectators shall
abide in the tournament rules and regulations.

4. No food or beverages are not allowed in the gymnasium. Only water and sports drinks will be
permitted.

5. The tournament director and the tournament staff are not responsible for any personal items
lost or stolen.
Fighting
1. Fighting is an attempt to strike an opponent with the arms, hands, legs, feet or a combative
action by one or more players, a coach or other team personnel.
a) Individual - Any member or team personnel who participates in a fight shall be
immediately suspended in the entire tournament.
b) Team - if the entire team fought the opposing team in a fight, the entire team will be
suspended and will be declared DISQUALIFIED in the tournament.
1. Should any team, player(s) or coach be disqualified from tournament,
there will be no refunds of payments, but instead
2. Will be accountable to any Damage of Property and will pay a minimum amount
of 30,000 Php.

Invitational Basketball League, to gain more contacts and friends as well.
Not to gain ENEMIES This is a friendly Competition.
Protest Procedure

1. Only the opposing team coach who is playing the scheduled game can protest a players
eligibility. Player eligibility protest must be taken to the scorers table before the start of the
game. Documentation/proof must be presented upon request. If the coach cannot provide
proper proof of age for their player(s) being protested, then player(s) will not be allowed to
participate until proof is provided.

2. The game will not be stopped to handle the protest. If the player(s) shows up late and the
opposing team coach wants to protest the player(s), that protest will be entertained at half
time. If the player and the coach cannot justify themselves against the protest, the player(s)
must sit until proof can be provided and that team will be charged with a technical foul. As a
result, the opposing team will get two free throws and the ball possession.
Tournament Director
The tournament director has the right to alter rules, by laws and bracket structure as needed.
Game Officials
3 Referees, 3 Table Official Scorebook Keeper, Electronic scorer and timer are assigned for the
games.
Trophies and Awards

language and or physical threats. I/We also understand that the tournament organizers and the facilities are not
responsible for any injuries or accidents incurred during the tournament, or for lost and damaged items. I/We
waive any in all liability against the Tournament Director, Commissioner, tournament staff, trainers, sponsors
and the owners and operators of any facility utilized by the tournament. As coach of this team, I affix my
