At a recent meeting of the Pottsville Parking Authority the organization decided to implement a Courtesy
Ticket Program through which public notification will be placed on meter and one hour violations instead of a
parking ticket.
This is a great program to get the word out to the businesses and employees regarding long term parking
areas. As a business community we need to encourage long term parkers to be in long term parking areas.
The street areas are ideal for customers and short term parkers, Patrick J. Murphy Chairman of the Pottsville
Parking Authority
This is a program that was previously run by the Parking Authority which encourages people to come
downtown to shop and dine, Carmen DiCello, Vice-Chairman of the Pottsville Parking Authority.
The Pottsville Parking Authority will designate two days per month toward this inventive program. We hope
that it is well received by the community, Jerry Labooty, Treasurer of the Pottsville Parking Authority.
