The calendar is an instrument that we use to measure the time in days, weeks and months. It provides us of useful
information for our daily life. In this unit, students of 10
th
grade will learn about the information we can find in a
calendar ( days of the week, month of the year and the numbers). lso, they are going to learn about seasons,
weather and past and past progressive tense. In order to learn all this information, students will create their own
calendar using !icrosoft word. In case some students don"t have computer, they will do the calendar using
different materials available in the community as cardboard, white and color pages, newspaper, maga#ines, etc. t
the end, they have to perform an oral presentation to e$plain their work in which they have to mention the month,
how many days has that month, what season belongs to, how was the weather and three activities performed in
that month.

Brainstorming: %tudents will share their ideas about the topic.
Checklist: will be used for pro&ect development, checklists to measure the progress and development of each
student in the pro&ect development process.
Self- evaluation: It allows the students to evaluate their own work and reali#e their mistakes.
Co- evaluation: This kind of evaluation permits the teacher and students to know the individual and group
achievement and promotes the responsibility and honesty among the students.
Rubric: The rubrics are designed to give the teacher an end of the class assessment taking into account the
evaluation criteria and the scale in which the teacher is going to measure the score.

%tudents will participate in a brainstorming about the topic. The teacher will write the word calendar on the
whiteboard and ask them what come to their mind when they see this word. The teacher writes all the answers
on the board. fter that, they will do a pre6test. ;oth, the brainstorming and the pre6test allow the teacher
