1. Autopsy - 1. Examination of a cadaver to determine or confirm the cause of death. 2. A critical


assessment or examination after the fact
2. Carcass - 1. The dead body of an animal, especially one slaughtered for food. 2. The body of a
human. 2. Remains from which the substance or character is gone. 4. A framework or basic
structure.
3. Cemetery - A place for burying the dead; a graveyard
4. Columbarium - 1. A vault with niches for urns containing ashes of the dead, one of the niches in
such a vault. 2. A dovecote, a pigeonhole in a dovecote.
5. Embalm - 1. To treat (a corpse) with preservatives in order to prevent decay. 2. To protect from
change or oblivion; preserve or fix. 3. To impart fragrance to; perfume
6. Crematorium - A furnace or establishment for the incineration of corpses
7. Epitaph - 1. An inscription on a tombstone in memory of the one buries there. 2. A brief literary
piece commemorating a deceased person.
8. Corpse - A dead body, especially the dead body of a human.
9. Eulogy - 1. A laudatory speech or written tribute, especially one praising someone hwo has died.

10.Formaldehyde - A pungent colorless flammable gaseous compound, CH2O, the simplest and
most reactive aldehyde, used for manufacturing melamine and phenolic resins, fertilizers, dyes,
and embalming fluids and in aqueous solution as a preservative and disinfectant.
11.Hearse - 1. A vehicle for conveying a coffin to a church or cemetery. 2. A triangular
candelabrum used at Tenebrae during Holy Week. 3. A framelike structure over a coffin or tomb
on which to hang epitaphs
12.Mausoleum - 1. A large stately tomb or a building house such a tomb or several tombs. 2. A
gloomy, usually large room or building.
13.Morgue - 1. A place in which the bodies of persons found dead are kept until identified and
claimed or until arrangements for burial have been made. 2. A reference file in a newspaper or
magazine office.
14.Mummify - 1. To make into a mummy by embalming and drying. 2. To cause to shrivel and dry
up.
