(Dwarf tapeworm)
This parasite completes its life
cycle in one host (rats and mice
as well as man) the definitive
host.

Adult worm live in the small


intestine of man.
Hymenolepis nana
Mode of infection: ingestion of
food containing eggs of H.nana.
Usually asymptomatic, there may
be abdominal pain and diarrhoea.

Laboratory Diagnosis: Diagnosis


depends on the demonstration of
eggs in stool.
