Final Reflection Essay:
My Reflection of what I have learned in English 1010.First of all I have learned to make a
deeply reading. I used to read a lot books and texts but it was only reading without a high desire
of understanding in deep the meaning of text.
But when I have started English 1010, I stated to make reading with purpose of understanding
the logic behind the text. I also learned to make reflection. Before I started to learn English
1010 I did not know anything related to even reflection, but right now I real like it because I
got a great time to share my Experience to say what I have live in during my normal life.
The next important lesson I have learned in English 1010 is to make Visual Analysis .I have
learned a lot of things in visual Analysis such as Description of image I have seen , the
purpose of image, to analyze the composition ,Examine the context and look for connection.
The other important lesson I have learned is Rhetorical Analysis. It is one of the most
important chapter in English which help me a lot. Because I learned how I could do Rhetorical
Analysis. Within Rhetorical Analysis I could explain even with someone who do not know
anything on the Topic such as The content of that Topic, Audience, author, historical context
and I could demonstrate Logos (claim or evidence), pathos (emotion), and ethos (how the
audience vie the authors) and also the purpose with authors.
The other important element I could not forget is how I could do annotated bibliography
where I could summarize what authors said on my own words and also provide the MLA (source
of that information) additional of that I have learned to differentiate about what author write
and what I write; where I have to put in quotation mark what authors said. I also learned to find
information from reliable source that I can use in academic document or other important
research, where I have learned to found information on reliable website such us ( school library,
government website and so on ). I also learned to website library of school that I was not used
before.
The last thing I have learned is IEP (Issue exploration project) where I have make research on
topic and also give the source used at the end on my research . It was my first time I wrote on
topic more than 5 pages but because of that course I did. That is summary reflection of what I
have learned in ENGLISH 101
