Theoretical Base for Practice

I formed my Professional Development Plan at the start of my BSN program to guide my
learning to focus on the major topics of ethics, education, evidence based practice and research,
quality of practice, communication, leadership, collaboration, profession practice evaluation,
resource utilization, and environmental health. During this assignment I learned the importance
of keeping current in my practice both with the use of evidence based research as well as
continuing my education. I also focused on the theories surrounding ethics, communication and
leadership. This assignment required me to focus on all the major areas of a professional
practice and the theories used to maintain it.
