My names Syarifah Salmiah binti Tuan Baru and Im thirty eight years old. I live and work in Besut but I wasnt
born here. I grew up in Kuala Terengganu and I moved to Kuantan, Pahang when I went to teachers training
college. I studied English and I had a great time!. While I was studying I met my future husband, Yusman
(he was studying Pengajian Melayu at the same college). We got married after training and now we have four
sons, Muhammad Arif Ilman, Muhammad Afiq Imran, Muhammad Amir Irfan and Muhammad Aqil Idlan. Then,
I was posted to Kuala Berang and my first school was Sekolah Kebangsaan Tengku Ampuan Intan. After six
years teaching there, I was transferred to my current school, Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Nangka. I
now live in Kampung Limbungan, Besut in our own house. Ive been teaching for almost fourteen years and I
really love this profession. My hobbies are reading and listening to music. Sometimes, I go back to my
hometown Kuala Terengganu to visit my beloved mother. My father passed away six years ago because of heart
attack and my mother stays with my eldest sister. But these days Im so busy working and looking after my kids
that I dont have enough time so I cant visit it as often as Id like. Im looking forward to my next school holiday
when I can relax and have some more free time!
