DESCRIPTION
NIK 100 is a new developed special electrode for joining cast iron material. It has easlily controllable and
spatter-free flow makes it possible to weld awkward positions with minimum current adjustment. Its has
excellent weldablility and gives fully machinable weld deposit.
APPLICATIONS
For welding of cracks, filling of defects and also as first pass joining of all kinds of cast iron. Also suitable
for welding casing of machines, pumps, gear boxes, piston grooves and pulleys.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Dry the electrodes at 80 ~ 110C for 30 ~ 60 minutes before use.
2. Choose the welding current within the suitable welding current range.
3. As a rule, no preheating or postheating is necessary, but the best result is obtained when base metal is
heated to 100 ~ 200C before welding.
