Anticoagulant Therapy
In the clinical practice, Anticoagulant is mostly common in using for collecting specimen for
ensuring in specific test to performed. The EDTA(ethylene Diamine tetraacetic acid) most common use
anticoagulant in different laboratory tests especially in blood. As the technology improve, the
anticoagulant is use now for modern medicine to treat different diseases, deficiency and disorders.
Prophylactic anticoagulation includes the prevention of ischemic stroke in people with chronic atrial
fibrillation of artificial heart valves or the prevention of venous thromboembolic disease. Anticoagulants
are a subset of a family of drugs called antithrombotics, which include the oral antiplatelet drugs.
By using of anticoagulant therapy, many people will aid in the disease with atherosclerosis,
thrombosis, embolism that are the primary cause of heart attack or even disease related to the heart. By
using this as a therapy the researcher must conduct more study to prove that by using of anticoagulant
therapy is safe to people.
