necessary. Students will be notified in advance of these dates.

Bonus tickets will be given throughout the class for various desired behaviors. Students will be given the
option of attaching up to 5 bonus tickets to assignments at the teachers discretion.

Late Work Policy:

For an excused absence, you will have the amount of time you were absent to make up the work without
penalty. Each day the assignment is considered late, the grade will drop one letter grade up until the
fourth day, in which the assignment will become a 50% and no longer will be accepted for additional
credit. If an assignment is missing and is considered late, it will be noted in the grade book at a Z.

Other Helpful Information:

Participation- Students are expected to participate on a daily basis. Everyones thoughts, ideas,
questions and opinions are valued and therefore should be shared. During class it is important and
necessary for you to participate and work cooperatively with your group. Participation includes voicing
thoughts and questions during class, working with lab partners, taking appropriate notes, researching
information and completing necessary assignments.

Student Contract- A permission slip of a safety agreement will be sent home and must be signed for
students to participate in any lab activity.

Extra Help/Tutoring- Extra help is available in the morning from 7:30am until 8:00am by appointment
only. I am also available after school until 4:00pm. In addition to these times, I also have tutoring sessions
during school on period 6 and 7 ELT days.

Academic Dishonesty- Copying and cheating are detrimental to learning. Academic dishonesty will not
be tolerated. Parents will be notified and consequences will be given based on individual situations.

Parent Resources- Parents will be able to stay connected to the class via the following options.

1. Class website: www.missrudisill.weebly.com
This is an easy way to track down assignments, if they happen to go missing. You will also have
access to my notes, review games, study guides, and the weekly agenda.

2. Remind: All parents must sign up for this. Instructions on how to sign up are attached.
This tool is used for me to send out text alerts of upcoming due dates and tests.

3. Class Dojo (Messenger): All parents must sign up for this. Instructions on how to sign up are
attached.
This is a tool that I will be using to track classroom behavior and performance and communicate
this information to parents.
