Course Description College and Career Portfolio This one-year CTE College and Career Portfolio Production is designed for students who are seeking an authentic practical experience in the arts while building their entrepreneurial, personal, cultural, and life skill set. Students in CTE College and Career Portfolio Production will demonstrate mastery of the standards through an end-of-year portfolio presentation and evaluation.

Running Crew All students are required to be on at least 1 running crew and 1 production team over the course of the year. A list of show dates and sign-up information will be distributed the first week of school. If you are unable to commit to the dates, you must fulfill an alternate assignment as determined by the teacher. You will be graded on your running crew and production team work, including attendance.
Grading Information All students are expected to try and participate in all activities every day. Below is the breakdown for how you will be graded in technical theater. No late work is accepted without prior authorization from Mrs. Collins. If you miss a day it is your responsibility to find out what you need to do to make up the work. Remember that it is difficult to makeup work that requires the materials provided in class, thus it is crucial that you attend class each day. Whenever applicable and possible, rubrics will be provided to students in advance of project due dates.

The instructional goals of the CTE CC Portfolio Production can be described as follows: Encourage students in the creative and systematic investigation of the arts (formal and conceptual) Emphasize that art making is a process that includes informed and critical decision making skills Support students in the development of technical skills and support their comprehension and functional use of the formal and sensory properties of art. Develop students as independent thinkers who will contribute to their community and their culture through the art process.
