6eeing the runner on the ground and not breathing, Debbie 6tein, e.e*uti/e se*retary o& the *ity
(anager5s o&&i*e, *alled : as she ran ba*' into the +)CA 0here she in&or(ed )*)a'en o& the
situation.
Without hesitation, )*)a'en retrie/ed an A-D ;auto(ated e.ternal de&ibrillator< unit and ran
outside.
1"t 0as as i& Ji( had used this equip(ent e/ery day,3 *ontinued 6her(an, e.plaining ho0
)*)a'en had re(ained *al( as he &ollo0ed the A-D instru*tions, e/en as Pry&ogle5s lips, &ingertips,
and &eet turned gray. 1-/eryone present did e/erything they *ould, in*luding tal'ing to 8e/in and
assisting in 0ays they thought *ould sa/e his li&e, that5s 0hy this *o((unity is so a0eso(e.
While it too' so(e ti(e to get ba*' on his &eet, Pry&ogle su&&ered no da(age to his heart and
0as ba*' to running in a do2en 0ee's and in ! 0ee's, 1" 0as ba*' to doing e/erything " 0anted to
