Read a story to a teacher.
Listen to a classmate read a story. Verbally
summarise the story they read to you.
Make a table of verbs that
can have the suffix -ed
added to show the past
tense, e.g. jump and
jumped.
Work with a friend to make and
print a story using StoryMaker
online. Proofread and edit the
story.
Describe a character from a story
using complex sentences. Circle
any words that look incorrect and
check them in the dictionary.
Read a story from the Blue Box and
complete the questions on the card in your
Reading Groups book.
Write 2 metaphors for each
of these emotions:
Happiness
Anger
e.g. anger is a hot red
flame

Research an Australian eco-
system and record five facts
about it in youre H.S.I.E book.
Dont forget to record the
website address.
Write a review of a story you have
read using Two Stars and a Wish
Read a short story. Draw and label pictures
of what happenes at the beginning, middle
and end of the story.
