JUNE 2014 NEWSLETTER

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Grand Knight's Corner
The month of June is
upon us, the middle of the
season for planting and
growing. We are preparing
for the harvest season
when all our work and
efforts pay off. It seems that
throughout the year we
have seasons or time
lines for different things
such as, the Knights of Columbus are ending our fiscal
year and we are able to look back on the fruits of our
labor.
I just got back from our State Convention in Orlando
and Council 7402 had a fantastic season. We received
more awards per capita than any other council in the
state. What an honor it was to represent all of the Knights
from our St. Jude & St. Elizabeth Parish. All the prayers,
preparation, support and hard work for the benefit of our
less fortunate brothers and sisters are reflected in these
awards.
This was another occasion, a big one, to make me
honored to be associated with an organization of men
who do Gods work. Where else could a bunch of guys
get together and do so much?
Thanks to all Council 7402 brother Knights, especially
thank you Good Lord for helping us stand tall and do your
work. And thanks also goes to the wives, families,
parishioners and friends who support us.
Vivat Jesus!

The 110th Knights of Columbus State

was awesome. We prayed, laughed, cried
and socialized over the 3 days of business
and brotherhood.

http://www.kofc.org/un/en/service/council/awards/star.html
This is a first for Council 7402. We are closer than we
have ever been and we need your help. We are ONE (1)
insurance member away from meeting our quota. This
can be any insurance product or an annuity. If you have a
need, or inclination to add to your portfolio, now is a great
time. We need to do this in the next couple of days, so if
you are so inclined, please call our insurance agent
brother Knight Ivan Delabruere.
Pope Francis in the Holy Land
Pope Francis prayed in silence
and pressed his forehead
against the wall that separates
Jerusalem from the West Bank
town of Bethlehem on Sunday,
during a visit which
Palestinians claimed as
affirmation of their claim to
statehood. In an unscheduled stop during his visit to
Bethlehem, the town where Christ was born, the Pope
ordered his white Popemobile to stop as it passed the
separation barrier built by the Israelis. He prayed for a
few minutes at the graffiti-daubed section of the wall,
John P. Leger, Cantonment, FL.,
recommended by John Latourelle.
D.J. Ignacio, Cantonment, FL.,
recommended by Mark O'Hara.
