Monday
Drop everything and read
day. Please bring a book or a
magazine to read for reading
practice. Students who do not
bring a book to read will be
given a textbook to read, and
they will lose daily participation
points.
PARTICIPATION
Promptness: ready
to work when
tardy bell rings or
has an excused
tardy note.
Prepared for class:
brings a book
and/or homework
to class, as well as
any other required
materials for the
assignments.
On Task: Student
is not talking
excessively and is
working steadily
on an assignment.
Good Behavior:
Follows all
procedures, does
not disrupt class,
and does not
require discipline
from the teacher.
Tuesday
Homework day. Please bring
homework to work on during
class or a book to read. We will
also check grades.
Wednesday
Life, career, and study skills.
Mrs. Scott will choose a skill to
teach with an activity. All
students are expected to
participate.
Thursday
Homework day. Please
bring homework to work
on during class or a book
to read. We will also check
grades.
Friday
STEM day. Starting in
October, students will be
rotating on a three-week
basis to various Science,
Technology, Engineering,
and Math activities.
GRADING
Advisory is a Pass/Fail
class. Students are graded
according to their
participation in class and
assemblies.
