English Classroom Procedures
Make-up work / Late work
You will have the number of days you were
absent to make up your work.
When returning from an absence it is your
responsibility to check the folder located in
the back of my classroom under the sign
Absent? Look here! for your work.
Late homework will be accepted one day late
for half credit during first and second
quarters. During quarter 3 and 4, late
homework will not be accepted for credit.
Homework must be turned in at the start of
class on the assigned due date or else it is
considered late. We will always accept any
work for teacher feedback.
Major assignments will be accepted late with a
reduction in points for each day it is late.
If a student chooses not to do a class work
assignment during the allotted time, the work
will not be accepted at a later time for credit.

Please come by to ask questions, discuss
project or writing ideas, and/or just to
say hello! You can also contact me
through email. Your success may depend
on your willingness to speak up.

I will wait in our classroom for five
minutes at the beginning of lunch to
answer any questions or meet with
students who were absent. It is your
responsibility to come see me when you
are absent. If I am not in the room,
please leave a note on my desk. In your
note, include the time and reason you
are visiting.

If you lose a handout that was given out
in class, please let me know so I can give
you another copy. I would rather you ask
than not be successful!
