Philosophy

For Stephen Connelly, my grandson.

By Santiago Sevilla

We are immerse in the universe;
Is God there, or is God nowhere?
Is the whole cosmos a sphere?
Is Time anything from there to here?
Or is duration the only intention:
To and fro, the whole creation?
Is eternity and permutation,
The true fact, not termination?
Wrong to pretend there is an end,
But life perpetual, the idea to defend?
Religion has invented our perdition:
To hell our fate, and our malediction,
To believe in this belief is our attrition!
Let us invent our own philosophy:
To answer question to be or not to be,
Let honey speak if bee is worth to be!
