We are a team of medical doctors, cancer care nurses, breast cancer survivors and volunteers based in
Lagos, Nigeria.
We are commiitted to preventing cancer, improving access to cancer care and improving cancer care
standards in Nigeria

Research: we carry out research among cancer patients to identify problems in accessing care. We also
carry out population wide breast cancer prevention knowledge ,attitude and practice surveys .(Include
icture of BHL2)
Awareness: we carry out awareness activities (primarily breast and cervical cancer) in schools offices and
in corporate organisations. We also an annual workshop for media professionals, where we provide
training on strategies to improve coverage and reporting of cancer information .
Screenings: we teach self- breast examination and carry out clinical breast exminations on a per- need
basis. We also carry out mass cervical screening projects periodically.
Referrals: we link women with suspect lesions with cancer care specialists and follow up throughout the
duration of their care.
Support for patients:
We support therapy for newly diagnosed patients who are unable to fully fund the cost of thierr own
treatment.
. we link newly diagnosed breast cancer patients with a brest cancer survivor to help her through her
cancer journey.

Surpport for surviors:
. we organise support group meetings where breast cancer survivors have the opprtunity to support and
learn from each other in the presence of experienced counsellors (include picture of support group
meeting)
