    410 patent lawsuits were filed in July 2014.

    This is a 15% drop in the number of


    cases filed compared to July 2013.
    59% of patent cases this month were in the high tech sector.
    83% of High Tech patent cases were filed by Non Practicing Entities (NPEs).
    23% of High Tech cases filed by NPEs were brought against small or medium enterp
    rises (SMEs).
