Original Sin
Original sin has two main meanings
The sinful act committed by Adam and Eve (or originating sin)
The sinful state or condition resulting from their sinful act
The results of what they had done were drastic. We had lost our original holiness
and justice in which od had created them. !or in committing evil they went against their
own human nature" which is to do good deeds.

This &originating sin' is not something that can be removed from our souls
li(e a hereditary sic(ness.

What we actually received is the sinful condition" which we e)$erience within
ourselves and in our world. (Or you can say we received the ability to sin)

Though we are naturally inclined to do the good" we have an attraction to sin"
which is what concu$iscence means (A strong desire * dictionary meaning). This is our
main obstacle in the road towards becoming fully human. +ut don,t forget" it,s just an
obstacle and can be &jum$ed' over through hard wor( and $erseverance.
The sin of the world
-f concu$iscence was the effect of the originating sin in our inner dis$osition" it
also affected all levels of human relationshi$s. When we sin we $erform a ri$$le effect"
which means that when we sin we also affect other $eo$le.

This is when we give in to our concu$iscent tendencies. We may thin( that even if
the sin is $ersonal and may only affect others" we should remember that we are relational
beings so when we sin we also affect those around us.
There are seven main roots of $ersonal sins" luc(ily there,s also a #hristian virtue
to fight it.
