Being part of the Comenius project has been a very enriching experience for us. We participated in the first visit of the project to the city of Oradea, Romania. One of the most memorable moments was the reception of our hosts students, who were with their families and they took us to their homes, where during the visit they shared with us their family, their home, their lifestyle and their culture. They were very welcoming and we felt very comfortable with the way they received us and their generosity. Another very striking moment was at school when we met with all students from all countries, with whom we worked in workshops and presentations of outcomes Comenius. In addition, we enjoyed a lot lunches and cultural visits all together. We felt like belonging to a big family: an European family. Practice the English language was a challenge that brought us a surplus value at the level of practicing language skills. We developed other skills such as making presentations to a vast audience, working in multicultural teams/heterogeneous. In addition, we had the opportunity to open horizons of knowledge through the cultural visits that we made in the city of Oradea. Above all, the contact with cultural differences firsthand was very important, because we learned that we're very different, speak different languages, but we're young with the same facts, the same interests, the same perspectives and concerns. This resulted in an awakening of our collective consciousness as Europeans, despite our national identity. We can only share this experience with colleagues at our school who did not took part of it and encourage them to participate whenever the chance is given.
