Formatting From the Windows DVD

Step 1
Insert the Windows 7 DVD into the optical drive. Click "Start," point to the arrow to the right
of "Shut Down," and select "Restart" fro the options.
Step 2
!ress ""nter" when the essage "!ress #n$ %e$ to &oot 'ro CD or DVD..." appears. (he
coputer will load the contents of the Windows 7 DVD.

Step 3
Select $our language, tie, currenc$ and ke$+oard preferences fro the drop,down enus.
Click "-e.t."
Step 4
Click "Install -ow." Review the license ters, select "I #ccept the /icense (ers," and then
click "-e.t" to proceed.
Step 5
Choose the hard drive on which Windows is installed. Select "Drive 0ptions 1#dvanced2."
Step 6
Click "'orat" and follow the on,screen propts to erase the contents of the drive.
Step 7
Click "-e.t" to reinstall Windows 7 to the !C and set up $our new account.
Formatting in Windows
Step 1
Click "Start" and t$pe "disk" into the search 3eld. Select "Create and 'orat )ard Disk
!artitions" fro the results.
Step 2
Right,click the disk drive $ou want to reset and choose "'orat" fro the conte.t enu.
Step 3
($pe a nae for the new drive in the Volue /a+el 3eld. Select "-('S" fro the 'ile S$ste
drop,down enu to use the drive with Windows 4!, Vista and 75 select "'#(67" to use the
drive with older versions of the operating s$ste, such as Windows 89 and 8:.
Step 4
;ncheck "!erfor a <uick 'orat." Click "0%" twice to forat the hard drive.
