ITALIAN STUDENTS IMPRESSIONS OF THE SECOND COMENIUS MEETING

HOPE for the FUTURE IN PVOA DE LANHOSO, PORTUGAL

The second meeting of the Comenius HOPE for the FUTURE took place in Pvoa de Lanhoso
(Portugal) in May 2013.
We were a group of three Italian girls with two teachers. Our names are Valentina, Matilde, Martina.
When we arrived in Braga, our host families and host students were waiting for us. They were very
nice and friendly.
We went to school in the morning and we enjoyed the time spent together with the other students
from Romania, Turkey, Hungary, Portugal. We loved the excursions, the parties, the workshops we
attended, the show at the theatre. It was overwhelming to experience so many things together.
The hospitality of the school, its teachers and staff will remain in our mind for a long time.
We visited the city of Guimaraes, Viana do Castelo, Porto and other beautiful places.
We were so sad when we had to leave Portugal because we met nice boys and girls and we had a
great time visiting this beautiful country. We will never forget the time spent together. It was a great
experience for our lives. We learnt to be more independent and we saw how people live in other
countries. We also had chance to practise our English.
When we were together with our Hungarian, Turkish, Portuguese and Romanian friends, we spent a
joyful time. First of all, we were anxious about what would happen and how we would find
something common. Then we realized that everything was all right. Working on this project with
our friends made us learn more about our partners countries. Moreover, we saw different
perspectives on life.
It was interesting to meet people from the other countries. We made good friendships, that we will
never forget.
We think everybody should join a Comenius Project or something like that , if he/she can do it.
It is a special, interesting and wonderful experience!
