List actions to be taken with a timeline
List what do we need to know?
Show class Popplet tool and question previous use
with Popplet.
Read through the timeline task-
Create a Popplet graphic organiser that will be used
to structure research by each group member
A Popple for the name of each group member and
their role
Link Popples identifying duties
Leave space for sequencing of timeline events for
each role
Create a cycle of events for each role, e.g.
researcher finds information, checker ensures
information is relevant, recorder records the
information and reporter prepares the
presentation.
Provide students with 10 minutes to work
independently (monitor contribution)
Introduce KWL chart on IWB (K- What do we know,
W-What do we want to know and L- What did we
learn: being completed at the end of the unit)
KWL charts to be completed on group tab on Wiki
Groups will record what the know in the K column
about erosion, Geraldton beach erosion, and
climate change
Groups move on to L column when completed
Update Popplet graphic organizer where necessary
as identified from KWL chart.
