My Aid AL Adha

Today is El Aid Adha. I am so happy because this occasion is very important to

all Muslims all over the world. We celebrate this feast every 10th of dolhajja .My father
bought a very good sheep in order to slaughter it in this holy day. In the morning of the Aid, I
woke up at 7 o’clock. I took a shower and I wear my new D’jallaba then I went to the mosque
to pray El Aid prayer. In the mosque, I listened to the Imam lecture which was very important
to all of us. He talked about the importance of this event. After that I met my friends at the
mosque and many people that I know to say happy Aid for each other. Then I went home and
I said happy Aid to all members of my family. We had breakfast and all of us started to look
for materials to get ready for slaughtering the sheep. My father called me to bring the sheep
with him because it was in the garage and the place where we would slaughter it is in the roof.
When we arrived, my father and my brother and I cooperated with each other. My father
slaughtered the sheep and I was laying a hand on the sheep in order to make it easy for my
father. I also helped my father in taking away sheep’s skin by knife. Meanwhile, my mother
was cooking the first meat with the help of my sisters. After we finished slaughtering, I went
to change my clothes because it was very full of blood. Then we had second breakfast all. In
the afternoon it was the time to go to visit my family. I visited my uncle and aunt. At each
home I visited, they insisted on me to taste their meat. At night my family came to have
dinner with us and I was extremely glad as I see all my family happy. I really like this event
because it gathers people together. I am very proud to be Muslim.
