K .S. K r i shnamur ti speak s on Who can master
astr ol ogy.

This is the month in which Kuthur Subbarayaiyer Krishnamurti (popularly called as K.S. Krishnamurti or
KSK) ascended his heavenly abode in 1972. We are dedicating this issue of JASA to K.S Krishnamurti as
our humble homage to the great soul who discovered the technique of Krishnamurti Paddhati technique of
astrological prediction.

It is beyond any doubt and question that late KSK was a very erudite scholar of astrology and a very
reputed and successful astrologer, who was known for his legendary predictions. In his month of demise, I take the
opportunity to publish a one page article authored by the great KSK about who can master astrology. This article
was published in the May 1967 issue of Astrology & Athrista and contains a rich source of clear understanding
and knowledge as to who can gain mastery over this science. I believe this will be an important eye opener for
many aspirants of astrology in general and KP in particular who have devoted decades in this field but is yet to be
satisfied with consistent predictions.

Reader will find that KSK talks about Vakka Siddhi (whatever one says comes out correct in reality) in
his article. These days we find many astrologers who do a lot of predictions and some of them come out correct
and some of them do not. It would be very interesting to those persons to check the combination mentioned by
KSK in his article about Vakka Siddhi.

Apart from this rare gem of KSK, in this issue we literally have the whos who in the field of stellar
astrology contributing their own gems and diamonds for the readers. To start with we have the direct student of
K.S. Krishnamurti Sri P.R. Muralidharan whose article on Education determination through KP technique will
be an eye opener for all readers. Along with him we have a senior KP researcher Sri Madhu N Nair (aka Pranav)
who discusses clearly about the KP combinations involved in Mastectomy. He has revealed in his article the
secrets of making correct KP based predictions.

From Sri Lanka, we also have another very senior KP astrologer and researcher writing article for all the
readers of J ASA. Sri G.H.W. Silva needs no introduction in the field of KP astrology since he is one of the most
respected KP astrologers in the world. His KP article is one of the most interesting article in this issue.

Dr. E.S. Neelakanatan is a national figure in the field of Vedic astrology and has been a regular
contributor of astrological write-ups in many prestigious astrological knowledge outlets. It is a rare privilege for all
the readers of J ASA to read his article in each of the 27 stars of the zodiac. Sri Neelakantan has started the first of
his twenty-seven part series by authoring on Ashwini. I am sure the readers will find a new dimension about each
star in his articles.

All the above four authors are making their debut contribution to JASA and I am proudly welcoming
them into the J ASA family along with all the readers, patrons and publishers.

Our regular authors are no less in their contributions in this issue. Sri K.S.V. Ramani has introduced Sri
T. Saravanaraju to carry on the mandate of propagating the beautiful method of Baskaran Astrology of Cuspal

Interlinks. Sri Raju has done a wonderful job of continuing the prosperous legacy started by Sri Ramani and I am
sure the readers will be equally delighted to read his article much as they liked Sri Ramanis. Along with him, we
have the senior KP scholar Sri Vijay Kumar from Bangalore who has made a mark in the field of astrology since
the last few decades. In this issue he shows all the readers how to correctly predict about receiving VISA through
the application of KP and his own LSP technique.

4 Step Theory is now a much established form of stellar astrology. Sri Sunil Gondhalekar has graciously
shared his successful predictions through his article in this issue. Readers will get a firsthand knowledge from the
inventor himself by reading this article. Sri Kausik Roy has done a wonderful job of analyzing birth horoscope of
the KBC5 winnerSuhil Kumar. He has shown the readers the step-by-step approach to be taken in analyzing a
horoscope with regard to winning big prizes and award money. Smt. Vijayalakshmis article, based on Meena
Nadi system, will give the reader a clear understanding on how and why defective child birth may happen. Her
correct prediction makes her contribution very important for all serious astrology practitioners and readers of
J ASA. Sri Subhas Ektare shared a personal correct prediction which will go a long way in sharpening applied
skills in 4 Step Theory. Readers will discover that making correct prediction requires a wide and open mind, as is
demonstrated by Sri Ektare. Further Sri Ektares article will dispel the myth, like all his articles usually does, that
astrologers cannot make correct predictions about their kith and kin.

The articles written by Sri NVRA Raja and Sri Rajendra Nimje deserve a special mention in this issue.
Sri Raja, son of illustrious Meena 2, provided in his article a very accurate and innovative Prashna method based
on Meena Nadi 2 system. It is simple and accurate. Readers will enjoy every line of that article I am very sure. Sri
Nimjes article on Sub-Harmonics, which is also allocated a J ASA Idea Incubator index for originality in thought,
will show the readers that KP technique is easy to apply and is precise in its results when applied through Sub-
Harmonics. The Sub Harmonics Table provided by Sri Nimje is a masterpiece ready reckoner for all readers and
astrology lovers.

From Italy our regular senior KP researcher and astrologer Sri Basilioli Sandro (Vediko) has provided his
second block of PAM theory. We have proudly allocated him another J ASA Idea Incubator index as he rightly
deserves. In this brilliant research and applied work, Sri Sandro has provided us with a more precise longevity
estimate. Longevity calculations have been made simple and accurate by him. He has also shared with me two
excel programs to decipher the longevity estimates. I would request all sincere readers to contact him to get access
to these wonderful Macro enabled MS Excel sheets that will make the longevity calculations easy and accurate.

Last but not the least, Sri Nayan Mukhopadhyay shares in this issue his preliminary results on cancer
research. He has done this yeoman work in spite of his professional commitments and the readers will see the
immense amount of hard work that has gone into the production of this output. It will interesting for all serious
researchers of astrology that Sri Mukhopadhyay has revealed that astrology research has to be seen through
constructs and not single rules. This is very true because a horoscope with 12 signs, 12 houses, 9 planets and
27 stars cannot have just one rule for an event. I am sure this is going to be an eye opener to many readers of
J ASA.

Before I hand you over this gem studded issue of J ASA, I would like to happily share that your journal
has crossed the 7000 registered reader mark in the month of February 2012 and is read in 58 countries across
the world. This success is yours---as an author and a reader.

Good Luck!

Shri K. Baskaran
Baskara Astrology Lagna Dependence
(contd. from K.S.V. Ramanis Part IV)

T. Saravanaraju

My humble Pranams to Master Shri Baskaran ,Shri Andrew Dutta-Editor of JASA and Shri Ramani J i for
giving this wonderful opportunity to write an article about the Baskara astrology in the continuation of Shri
Ramani J i article.

In this article I would like to explain the two important principles followed by Baskara astrology through
Practical example.

1) Lagna dependent(soul Related)
2) Non -Lagna dependent (Materialistic)

Lagna or Ascendant is basically represent the native and the details what is really offered to him in the entire
life period.

Suppose say education someone can get many degrees, doctorate but the soul after leaving the body it takes
away all the wisdom, knowledge gained from the education. After death of the particular native the education
cannot share by others, its only for the native who learnt throughout his life. In different the particular asset
or property is taken over by the blood relatives after the soul leaving the body.

Here while considering education we can say lagna dependent (soul related) and property matters non-lagna
dependent(Materialistic). Each question is analyzed based on the above factors. Please note that here my
intention is explaining the essence of lagna dependent and non lagna dependent. While interpreting the chart
other factors also needs to be considered. let me explain the details in the future article.

In general 1,3,5,7,9,11 bhavas soul related and 2,4,6,8,10,12 Bhavas considered as material related.

One of my friend called me in the frustrated mind set on 30/10/2009 and told me that the second conception
also aborted due to abnormal growth. So his wife very eagerly asked me a question whether will I have
another conception. Will I deliver the baby?

I asked her to tell the number in between 1 to 249. Without any hesitation she gave the number 12. Below is
the horary chart for reference.

The query about progeny naturally lagna dependent. So the chart needs to be analyzed based on Lagna and
also 9
th
house(3
rd
child) .Both lagna ,9
th
cusp and also transist & Dasa/Bhukti/Antara should agree for the
event to take place. Lagna sub lord and the cuspal interlink should reveal the nature of query .

Here lagna sub is moon in star & Sub of Saturn and sub-sub of Rahu

SourceMoon- 1
Sambava- Saturn-3(SL)
Decider- Rahu-5,11(SL)

Here I would like to remind it moon is in star and sub of Saturn so that we can take it Rahu(sub-sub) as a final
decider. Lagna naturally falls on soul related bhavas 1,3,5,9,11. all the linkage clearly showing positively
about the progeny.

Let us analyze the potential of the 9
th
cusp . The cuspal sub lord of 9
th
house is Mercury and in star of Rahu
and sub of J upiter. Let us analyze the equation.

Source Mercury 9(SL) note that there is no planets in the star zone area of Mercury.
Sambhava- Rahu -5,11(SL).
Decider- Jupiter-2(SL).

Remind that each bhavas analyzed based on the basic principle of Baskara astrology. i.e. from the questioned
bhavas star and sub linkage is 1,2,3,5,9,11 means it favours the question. If it is 4,8,10,12 it is negated or
difficult to materialize the event. Here both lagna and primary cusp strongly support the event to take place. I
told to the couple nothing to worry the next conception is promised and they will not face any destruction
what they had previously.

Then the next question is naturally about the timing of event. At the time of question raised running DBA
Saturn/Saturn/Rahu. Saturn is in star of Sun(12
th
SL) and sub of Mercury (9
th
SL) . Star lord position Sun
linkage is diminished by sub of Mercury(10
th
from 12
th
). So I told them before end of Saturn bhukti the
conception will take place . Saturn bhukti up to end 7/5/2010.

In mid of J anuary 2010 he called me with joyfully and also confirmed that the third conception happened and
the growth is normal (as per doctors verification). After some time I heard that she delivered a healthy female
baby . The credit goes to Shri K Baskaran who taught me the noble science.

JASA, its readers, publishers and the Editor sincerely prays to God Almighty for Sri K.S.V.
Ramani jis quick recovery, good health and longevity. May God give him all the strength
to recover from his sudden injury and ill-health.
We are very thankful to Sri T. Saravanaraju ji, a direct student of Sri Baskaran ji, and
introduced by Ramani ji, to continue KB Astrology articles in this international journal.

Obtaining VISA: A KP Appraisal

Vijay Kumar

This case is a recent case from my file of records. The daughter of my close friend wanted to obtain B-1 VISA
for travel to US on official assignment and she was desperate to get it. My friend asked me, if his daughter
would get a long term B-1 VISA to US for 10 years.
I did not take any horary number from him and I casted a horary time chart to find out if his daughter would
be granted VISA. The time chart was casted on 13-01-2012 at 18-22-52 Hrs IST at Bangalore. The chart was
rotated to 5
th
house to represent the daughter.
The rotated time chart is enclosed herewith.

The chart is being analysed as follows:
The co-ordinates for judgment
The process of obtaining VISA incorporates all important interviews between the native and the embassy
officials. In view of this, the essence lies in obtaining success in interview. In a query relating to the interview
and the results thereof, the 3
rd
and 9
th
houses get most pertinent. The 3
rd
house indicates the performance from
the native and 9
th
house indicate what is judged by the interview panel. If these houses signify the 11
th
house,
the native get successful in the interview process.

JASA Vol 1(5) Mar-Apr 2012

In a scenario of analyzing the prospects of obtaining VISA by the concept of LSP, the Punya LSP (P-LSP)
gets priority, as this indicates the punya that the native has towards realizing the objective. The aspirations of
obtaining VISA are indicated by the Asha LSP (A-LSP), Karma LSP (K-LSP) would bear the fruits of the
efforts and Karya Siddhi LSP (KS-LSP) may be examined to study the net result of outcome.

Analysis by conventional KP norms

1. Study Moon
Moon is the 9
th
lord and thus shows the mind set for foreign travel. Moon placed in 10
th
house further
indicates connection of the foreign travel due to the reason of work (10
th
house). With this, the chart was
considered as authentic and was OK to proceed ahead.

2. Look to the 3
rd
house
3
rd
house is examined to assess the natives performance in the VISA related interview. Note that J upiter is the
sub-lord of the 3
rd
cusp. J upiter is a positionally strong planet as there is no planet in its stars and its placement
in 6
th
house builds a very strong case for the native achieving the fructification of the desired expectation. At
the stellar level, while J upiter is in the star of Ketu placed in 7
th
house, receiving the attention of the
interviewers (7
th
house), its sub-lord Rahu gets placed in the lagna meaning the strong focus that the native
would have in projecting her personality. Readers may note that the 11
th
sub-lord is Mars that is linked with
3
rd
cuspal sub-lord J upiter through Rahu, as Rahu owns the sub-lordship of J upiter and sub-sub lordship of
Mars. This proves the inference that the native would do very well in the interview and would achieve her
fructification of desire.

3. Look to the 9
th
house
This house indicates the US embassy interview panels judgment about the natives performance and
personality to grant the VISA. At the outset, 9
th
cuspal sub-lord Rahu and 11
th
cuspal sub-lord Mars are found
inter-linked, as Mars falls in the sub-sub lord of Rahu. Also note that Rahu is a positionally strong planet and
its placement in lagna gives an enormous strength for the native to gain favor of the interview panel towards
achieving the desired results. No stellar connection was seen for further assessment. It would be further
interesting to note that Rahu disposes Mars and thus directly links to the 11
th
cuspal sub-lord, meaning that
Rahu (Embassy officials represented by the 9
th
house) would be greatly impressed from the native for granting
VISA.

4. Look to the 11
th
house
11
th
house is vacant and is lorded by Sun. Sun has Mars and Sun placed in its stars, hence works through the
occupants. Note that while, Sun is placed in the 2
nd
house as 11
th
lord, Mars is itself the 11
th
cuspal sub-lord.

Note the stellar significations of 11
th
cuspal sub-lord Mars. Mars is in the star of Sun placed in 2
nd
house as
11
th
lord, as said. Mars is placed in its own sub and Mars placed in 10
th
house is very strong to give Hugh push
to achieve results. As indicated earlier, 11
th
cuspal sub-lord Mars is well connected to 3
rd
and 9
th
houses. Thus,
11
th
house indicated fruitful result towards the desired objective of obtaining B1 VISA to US.

Analysis by LSP principles
JASA Vol 1(5) Mar-Apr 2012
23

Refer my article in inaugural issue of J ASA for the concept and usage of LSPs.

1. Calculate Punya LSP (P-LSP) to assess the luck
Due to the prashna assessment in night hours, the Punya LSP is calculated by the formula (Sun -Moon +
Lagna). There is no need of adding additional 30deg, as the Lagna falls between Moon to Sun. By the
manipulation of the longitudes, the Punya LSP falls in Pisces 10-08-25 (d-m-s) lorded by Sign lord J upiter,
Star lord Saturn, Sub-lord Venus and Sub-sub lord Mercury.

Note as follows.
a. Punya LSP falls in the 5
th
house, thus the native would be extremely creative and her performance
may be very high to achieve the objective (5
th
house).
b. Venus is the sub-lord of Punya LSP which lords 7
th
and 12
th
houses, out of which 12
th
lordship is
meaningful in the context of her requirement of traveling abroad.

Thus, the native does carry with her the luck and punya for achieving success.

2. Calculate Asha LSP (A-LSP) to check the desire fructification
Due to the prashna assessment in night hours, the Asha LSP is calculated by the formula (Mars - Saturn +
Lagna). There is no need of adding additional 30deg, as the Lagna falls between Saturn to Mars. By the
manipulation of the longitudes, the Asha LSP falls in Virgo 26-33-10 (d-m-s) lorded by Sign lord Mercury,
Star lord Mars, Sub lord J upiter and Sub-sub lord Saturn.

Note as follows.
c. Asha LSP falls in the 11
th
house, thus the desire of the native bears strong chances of success.
d. Sub-lord of Asha LSP is J upiter. As said in the preceding paras, J upiter is conducive to achieve
success in the interview with the US embassy officials, as J upiter as the sub-lord of 3
rd
cusp well
connected with the 11
th
cusp.
Thus, the desire fructification of the native for obtaining VISA is promised.

3. Calculate Karma LSP (K-LSP) that shows the efforts and its success quotient
Due to the prashna assessment in night hours, the Karma LSP is calculated by the formula (Mercury - Mars +
Lagna). There is no need of adding additional 30deg, as lagna falls between Mars to Mercury. By the
manipulation of the longitudes, the Karma LSP falls in Aquarius 18-24-30 (d-m-s) lorded by Sign lord Saturn,
Star lord Rahu, Sub lord Moon and Sub-sub lord Rahu.

Note as follows.
a. Karma LSP falls in 4
th
house that deals with happiness. In a chart for efforts towards foreign travel,
happiness of mind is at the top end. Thus, Karma LSPs placement is considered positive.
b. Moon is the sub-lord of Karma LSP that is placed in 10
th
house of Karma-sthana, which is positive.
JASA Vol 1(5) Mar-Apr 2012
24

Readers may note that the placement of LSPs sign lord and sub-lord are important and are considered
positive if they are placed in Kendra and trikona to the karyesh houses, more so if they are positionally strong.
Here, Karma LSPs sub-lord is placed in the house of Karma (10
th
house), hence taken positive.
c. Note the linkage of Karma LSPs sub-lord Moon. Moon falls in the sub of J upiter and sub-sub of
Rahu. As described earlier, both J upiter and Rahu are positive planets towards the fructification of
results, as both the planets link to the 11
th
house.
Thus, the efforts undertaken by the native are expected to bear fruits of fructification.

4. Calculate Karya-Siddhi LSP (KS-LSP) that shows the luck of desire fructification.
Due to the prashna assessment in night hours, the Karya-Siddhi LSP is calculated by the formula (Saturn -
Moon +lord of Moon sign). Since, lord of Moon sign is Sun, the formula translates to (Saturn - Moon +Sun).
There is a need of adding additional 30deg, as Sun does not fall between Moon to Saturn. By the manipulation
of the longitudes, the Karya-Siddhi LSP falls in Pisces 12-04-56 (d-m-s) lorded by Sign lord J upiter, Star lord
Saturn, Sub lord Moon and Sub-sub lord Sun.

Note as follows.
a. Karya-Siddhi LSP falls in 5
th
house that deals with honour, power and position. This position is
positive, as the foreign travel is considered as a symbol of honour, status and position.
b. Moon is the sub-lord of Karya-Siddhi LSP and as indicated in the above section, it bears all the fruits
of fructification.
c.
5. Note the LSP interconnection
a. Karya-Siddhi LSP connects to Punya LSP, Karma LSP and Asha LSP.
Moon is the sub-lord of Karma LSP and Karya-Siddhi LSP. Moon falls in the star of Venus (Sub lord of
Punya LSP) and in the sub of J upiter (Sub-lord of Asha LSP). All these planets are positive in the prashna
chart to offer desired results.
Conclusion
In view of the above analysis, I was absolutely sure for positive fructification of the results towards obtaining
US VISA for the desired period. This was communicated to my friend and obviously, he was deeply joyful.
Facts of the case
My friend contacted me later to tell the brief outcome as follows.
1. Native was called for the interview with the US embassy officials on Tuesday: J anuary 17, 2012 at 10AM
at Chennai.
2. The interview was slightly postponed due to heavy rush and happened around 1230 Hrs in Aries lagna and
Swati Nakshatra (Rahu) operating at the time of the interview.

3. She was interviewed for about 2 minutes and was granted US B-1 VISA for 10 years without any
obstruction. The passport was submitted accordingly in the embassy office and was sent to the native that
has the stamp of VISA approval dated J anuary 19, 2012.
Note that Moon was travelling in Swati star (Rahu) on the day of interview and in Anuradha star (Saturn) on
the day of formal approval. Saturn has the positional status and is found placed in 12
th
house of foreign travel
and residence.

4. I had found from my friend today when writing this article, that she had travelled to US for 2 weeks in
J anuary last week and the stay was just wonderful that gave her a lot of pride.

Child Birth Analysis according to KP

G.H.W. Silva

According to Krishnamurthi Paddhathi propounded by Late Professor, Guruji, Sothida Mannan, J eotish
Marthand, Prof. K.S.Krishnamurthi, The Planets offer the activities or events of life signified by the star
lord in a birth chart. The source for these results is the planets. The planets nature and the signification in
the horoscope will indicate the characteristics of the results enjoyed by the native during its dasa and sub
dasas , according to Vimsoththari dasa system.

Therefore it is necessary to see the nature of a planet to identify its signification and the lord of the star,
where the planet is deposited in. The planet is the source and thus, the native will enjoy the results
accordingly. The nature of the results enjoyed by the native has to be decided according to the signification
of the star lord in the birth chart. Next the quality of the results has to be decided according to the sub lord
position of the planet. The native will enjoy good results, if the sub lord is a significator for favourable
bhavas. If not on the other way.

We could analyze a birth chart for the application of the rules laid by the Guruji.

This native had a dasa balance of about 12 years and 5 months for Venus at the time of birth. Accordingly
she was under the influence of Mars dasa from October 1937 to October 1944.

This dasa lord Mars is in a star of Moon, who is a significator for twelve, five, one and fourth bhavas.
Therefore during the major period and sub periods of Mars, the native will enjoy the results signified by
Moon. As a significator for twelfth bhava, Moon will incur losses, difficulties, living in a foreign or far off
places etc; By fifth, matters related to children, music, enjoyment, sports activities have love affairs, take
part in sports and involve with children. By the first, self development, courage magnanimity, kind hearted
etc and by fourth, matters connected to mother, housing and properties, and luxurious life.

This Moon is in good trine aspect to Sun and Venus. This trine aspect will give good results connected to
children as Moon is the lord of fifth in fifth. Dasa lord

Dasa lord Mars was transiting in the eleventh bhava in conjunction with and in a star of Saturn. Saturn is
the owner of tenth and eleventh. In this transit it is noted that all the other planets and trapped in between
Rahu and Kethu in Scorpio and Taurus respectively. Even this is treated as a bad configuration planets, this
daughter became a queen and is one of the long lasing leader in the world. So this entrapment has not
caused any bad effect on her.

In this transit, the Luminary Sun was transiting on conjunction with natal Mars. Next luminary Moon was
also transiting in conjunction with Venus, J upiter and Sun. Conjoined Sun and Venus in the birth chart is
having a square aspect in transit. Transiting Sun, Moon, J upiter and Venus are in stars of Moon, who is a

the lord and depositor in the fifth bhava, a very good significator for child birth. The lord of second, which
causing the increase of family members in the ascendant with trine aspect from transiting Mercury.

The next child birth to the native was on 05
th
August 1939. On this day the native was under the influence
of Mars as dasa lord, J upiter as bukthi lord and Mercury as antara lord respectively. Bukthi lord J upiter is in
the fifth bhava and the owner of ninth and twelfth bhavas. He is deposited in a star of Kethu who is in the
seventh representing Mars by being deposited in a sign of Mars. This Mars is a signifiator for fifth, tenth,
fourth and seventh bhavas. Antara was ruled by Mercury who is a significator for twelfth, first, sixth,
second and third bhavas. Mercury is deposited in a star of Venus, who is a significator for twelfth and first,
in conjunction with Sun who is the owner of fifth bhava. Therefore it is seen that all these dasa, bukthi and
antara lords are significators for child birth by being deposited in favourable stars. When we consider the
transit of these planets, Mars was transiting in the ninth bhava in a star of Sun, the lord on fifth bhava.

The bukthi lord J upiter was transiting in the twelfth bhava and in a star of Saturn who is the owner of tenth
and eleventh bhavas. J upiter was again in trine aspect to Sun and transiting Sun was in conjunction with
natal Moon and Sun was in trine to its natal position. The antara lord Mercury, owner of second, third and
sixth in twelfth and in a star of Venus. Transiting Mercury was in the fourth and in its own star, aspecting to
its natal position.

The Sun, the first luminary was transiting in the fourth bhava and in a star or Mercury with square aspect to
its natal position. The second luminary Moon was transiting in the eleventh bhava and in a star of Saturn,
the owner of tenth and eleventh bhavas. Transiting Moon was in trine aspect to transiting Venus in fourth
bhava. So dasa and sub dasa lords are significators for child birth and also in agreement with transit and
aspects of these planets.

In here we have considered the behaviour of planets for child birth of the native in two occasions. Further
we wish to see the combination of planets for the birth of a sister to the first child. The first daughter had a
dasa balance of 5 years and 9 months for Moon. At the time of her sisters birth, she was under the
influence of Moon dasa, J upiter bukthi and Rahu antara.

Significators for the birth of a sister according to her birth chart are Kethu, Mars, Mercury, Venus and
J upiter. They are deposited in the stars of Sun, Saturn, Venus and Moon. Sun is in conjunction with J upiter
and Saturn with Mars and Venus with J upiter. Venus represents Rahu.

The dasa lord Moon is a significator for twelfth and sixth and in a star of its own. But the dasa lord in
transit was in the ascendant in conjunction with natal Saturn and Mars with trine aspect to natal Rahu, who
represent Mars, the lord of second and ninth. This transiting Moon was in trine to transiting Venus who is
the owner of third and eighth bhavas. The bukthi lord J upiter is a significator for twelfth, sixth, tenth and
eleventh and in a star of Moon. Transiting J upiter was also in the ascendent with square aspect to its own
and to Sun, Venus and Moon. J upiter was transiting in a star of Saturn, the owner of the first and twelfth
bhavas. The antara lord Rahu was transiting in the seventh bhava and in its own star with square aspect to
transiting Venus. The first luminary Sun was transiting in the sixth bhava in opposition to its natal position
and to natal Venus, J upiter and Moon.

All these descriptions used for analysing a birth chart for child births and again for a birth of a sister are in
good agreement with the rules laid down in the infallible Krishnamurthi Padhdhathi.

Long live Krishnamuti Paddhati

Krishnamurti Paddhati and Mastectomy

Madhu N Nair (aka Pranav)

I would like to share with the readers of this esteemed journal , an Astrological diary writing of mine ,
about a tragic episode that happened recently, that once again proves how the planets that are indices of
the past karmas shapes the destiny of human beings. In November 2011, a lady working in a private
engineering college of Trivandrum consulted me. Her errand was to know whether it will be wise on her
part, to take long leave or resign the job here and join her husband who is working in the Middle-East and
to find a job there.

Sub period of Saturn from 02Dec 2011 to 14J un2014

At the time of consultation, she was passing through J upiter major period and J upiter sub period. There are
no planets in the stars of J upiter. As such J upiter emerges as a strong significator of VII , IX & X. In terms
of VII (spouse , Gamana Agamana , that is , going out and returning etc ) and IX (long distance journey),
she had frequent travels to Gulf to meet her husband and in terms of X (occupation ), she was
comparatively well-placed in her career.

J upiter is in the star of Rahu in 2H of self-acquisition. The 2H signification gave her regular monthly
income by self-acquisition. Mars appears as the sub lord of the dasha lord J upiter. There are no planets in
the star of Mars. So Mars is a strong significator of VI & XI.

The dasha lord J upiters signification of X and signification of VI via the sub lord Mars, caused separation
with spouse , with the native living here in Kerala and her husband in Gulf . Nevertheless, the signification
of II, VII & XI ensured frequent meetings between the couple either here or in Gulf , throughout the
J upiter sub period of J upiter dasha.

Major disease in Jupiter dasha?

Readers may kindly take note that the Mars, the sub lord of the dasha lord J upiter is the cuspal sub lord of
6H of disease , with no planets in its star and hence a strong significator of 6H . This made me believe that
the native may suffer from some disease in J upiter dasha.

Analysis of the forthcoming sub period of Saturn
I noticed that the Saturn sub period is to start from 2
nd
December 2011 .

Saturn is in VIII. There are no planets in its star. So Saturn is a strong significator of VIII and feeble
significator of IX (planet in IX ) . Saturn strongly signify XI since it is in the star of Moon in XI and
feebly II (planets in 2H )

Saturn is in its own sub. It is a common knowledge among KP students that a planet in its own sub will
become a strong significator of that House. In this case, Saturn becomes a strong significator of VIII due
to its placement in its own sub.

VIII stands for accidents, surgery (especially surgical removal) , controversy , court cases ,scandals , mental
anguish , great humiliation , punishment etc

Degree conjunction of Saturn with Node

Readers may take note that Saturn shares the same longitude with Kethu , or by extension, Saturn is in
degree opposition to Rahu , the causative planet of cancer .

Transit check

At the time of consultation, that is, in November 2011, Transit Nodes were straddling in Taurus Scorpio
belt , that happens to be 6/8 or the sixth House of disease and twelfth House of bed-ridden status or
hospitalization .

Importantly, Transit Nodes were afflicting natal Mercury , the Ascendant Lord (physical body ) .

Saturn sub sub period of Saturn sub period , is from 2
nd
Dec2011 to 14J une 2012.

On going through the ephemeris, it was observed that the Transit Saturn, the sub period ruler will be
moving in the star chithra ruled by Mars , the ruler of the 6H of disease corresponding to sign Libra and
will be in the sub portion of Venus , from 10 Dec 2011 to 10 J an 2012 and after its stationing at 5Lib28 ,
in retro mode will pass through the same zone of Mars star and Venus sub from 6 March to 19 April 2012
and again from 4 sept to 25 sept 2012 .

Here we are mainly concerned with Saturn sub sub period from 2
nd
December 2011 to 14J une 2012 ; as
such we need not bother about the third Transit of Saturn in direct mode of Sept 2012. Based on the
above mention points, I thought that the native may undergo some major surgery that may have something
to do with cancer in the sub period and sub sub period of Saturn .

But how could one express his apprehension of terminal illness to the consultant who is smart, good
looking and healthy in appearance and is asking about her career prospects ? When it was enquired
whether she had history of any disease , she replied in the negative and added that she recently underwent a
high-profile executive check up and is physically fit .

From ephemeris , it was again observed that Transit Venus , the 12L ruling the sub portion of Transit
Saturn , will change signs from Sagittarius to Capricorn the 8
th
sign , from the Ascendant , on 16 Dec 2011
and Mercury the Ascendant lord will be in Scorpio, the 6H of disease, afflicted by both Transit Nodes and
Transit Mars (wide) and the same day she need to be extra vigilant as there is a good probability of some
undesirable events since Transit Moon too will be in the star of Kethu stationed in 8
th
at birth .

It was told in a mild manner that she may have to undergo a major surgery in Saturn sub sub period that
may have something to do with cancer

However the subject seemed to be not serious about what I was talking and was still asking me about her
career prospects. When I repeated my findings twice, and hearing the word cancer , she became alert and
asked me whether there are any remedial measures. I asked her to pray sincerely and left the matter there.

The outcome of this incident was really amazing and quite unbelievable. It was reported later, that
the lady went for a mammogram, of course for reasons best known to her only , that detected a small
lump in her breast . Biopsy confirmed cancerous growth and the most interesting part was she
underwent the surgery exactly on 16 Dec 2011 .

JASA Vol. 1(5) Mar-Apr 2012
34

It is indeed hard-pressed to believe at the time of consultation that the energetic smart and fair lady will
undergo such an ordeal within a month.. But then fate has its own ways and none can dodge the fate as
ordained by the Prarabdha karmas . .

In KP system, one of the most neglected and ignored area is the Transit of planets in the natal charts . Mere
consideration of the Transit of luminaries sensitizing the operating dasha or sub or sub sub period wont be
of much help in delineating the result of natal charts. Only a holistic approach alone is of real use.

Each and every second, man has some experience, right from the womb to the tomb. The Transit or the
incessant motion of the planets, within the framework of the birth chart alone could offer a plausible
explanation for this.

I fervently hope this write-up will enthuse those with a research bent of mind, to do further studies in the
Transit of planets in natal charts, in the way Prof KSK wanted. This article is dedicated to my bosom friend
and guide, Donna Quinn of US, who is a perennial source of inspiration for me.

Let me close the article by thanking Dr Andrew, the young and brilliant editor of this J ournal, who is also
the Rising Star in the horizon of Stellar Astrology, for accommodating this article in this esteemed
magazine .

Importance of chain in Dasa-Bhukti-Antara of 4 Step Theory

Sunil Gondhalekar

In Krishnamurti Readers it is mentioned that event will happen during the conjoined period of Dasa, Bhukti
Antara. The same principle is used in 4 step theory. We will see one case study for this principle.

One sister asked me the marriageable period of his brother and furnished his birth details. They are as
follows:

Date of Birth : 5
th
March 1981
Time of Birth : 17:21PM
Place of Birth : Nagpur, 21N09; 79 E 06
KP Ayanansha: 23-29-51

The birth chart is attached for the reference.

Rule: Sublord of 7
th
house should be strong significator of 2or 7 or 11 houses and then the event will be
materialized during the chain of these houses. 5
th
and 8
th
house are supportive houses for the marriage.

The case is judged on 8
th
April 2011.

In this chart 7
th
sub is J upiter and it signifies as follows:
The houses mentioned in the bracket are strong significators.

PLANET : J UPITER
Itself :-------------- J upiter:- 2 5 8 Saturn-Yuti 2 6 7
It's N.Swami :-------- Moon:- (6) 12 Cusp Yuti: (7)
It's Sub :------------ J upiter:- 2 5 8 Saturn-Yuti 2 6 7
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Moon:- (6) 12 Cusp Yuti: (7)

Here J upiter signifies the required 7
th
house hence marriage is promised.

Now let us the Dasa and Bhukti. At the time of judgments J upiter dasa, Rahu Bhukti was operating till 22
J une 2012.

Signification of Dasalord J upiter is already seen as a 7
th
sublord and it signify 7
th
house. Now let us check
the signification of Rahu.

PLANET : RAHU

Itself :-------------- Rahu:- 12 Rashi-Swami Moon 6 12
It's N.Swami :-------- Saturn:- (2) 6 7 J upiter-Yuti (2) (5) (8)
It's Sub :------------ J upiter:- 2 5 8 Saturn-Yuti 2 6 7
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Moon:- (6) 12 Cusp Yuti: (7)

Here Bhuktilord Rahu signify 2-7 houses along with supportive 5-8 houses.

So dasalord signify 7 and bhuktilord signify 2-7 houses. So event will materialzed in such Antara who
signifies 11
th
house.

When we analyze every planet we found that Mercury and Venus signifies 11
th
house. Let us see it.

PLANET : MERCURY
Itself :-------------- Mercury:- (6) 2 (11)
It's N.Swami :-------- Mars:- (7) (4) (9)
It's Sub :------------ J upiter:- 2 5 8 Saturn-Yuti 2 6 7
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Moon:- (6) 12 Cusp Yuti: (7)

Mercury signifies 7-11 houses.

PLANET : VENUS
Itself :-------------- Venus:- (7) (3) (10)
It's N.Swami :-------- Rahu:- (12) Rashi-Swami Moon (6) 12 N.Swami-Saturn- (2) 6 7
It's Sub :------------ Mercury:- (6) 2 (11)
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Mars:- (7) (4) (9)

Venus signify 2-7-11 houses.

At the time of judgments Mercury Antara was up to 22 J une 2011.

Since Ascendant is Leo which is of fixed nature which tends to delay the matter, hence next Antara of
Venus was chosen .Venus signifies 2-7-11 houses and karaka for marriage.

So marriage will be materialized during 12 August 2011 to 06 J an 2012.

Again to choose finer period, we will have to choose Mercury sookshma period which is from 7
th
Dec 2011
to 28
th
Dec 2011. I have conveyed the period to his sister. In actual the native got married on 11
th
Dec.2011
and my prediction hits the bulls eye. All credit goes to 4 step theory which is totally based on KP.

Natives relative approached me for his marriage probability. And I have
J udged it on 19
th
J uly 2010 at 17.51 PM at Thane.

In this chart 7
th
sub is Mars and it signifies as follows:
PLANET : MARS
Itself :-------------- Mars:- 4 5 10 Venus-Yuti 4 4 11
It's N.Swami :-------- J upiter:- (1) (6) (9) Cusp Yuti: (1) asp.(7)
It's Sub :------------ Venus:- 4 4 11 Mars-Yuti 4 5 10
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- J upiter:- (1) (6) (9) Cusp Yuti: (1) asp.(7)

Mars signify 7
th
house so marriage is indicated.
Now we will check the dasalord for fructifying the event.
Native was running J upiter dasa, J upiter Bhukti from 8
th
Sept 2009 to 27
th
Oct.2011.Let us check the
signification of J upiter.
PLANET : J UPITER
Itself :-------------- J upiter:- 1 6 9 Cusp Yuti: (1)
It's N.Swami :-------- Saturn:- (2) (7) 8
It's Sub :------------ Rahu:- 2 Rashi-Swami Mercury 4 3 12
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Sun:- (3) 2

So J upiter signify 2-7 houses strongly and 3
rd
house indicates engagement.

Now we will judge Antara .At the time of judgments Ketu antara was upto 26
th
Sept.2010.Generally no
marriage is celebrated during this period so moved to next Venus antara which was up to 3
rd
Feb.2011.
Let us check the signification of Venus.

PLANET : VENUS
Itself :-------------- Venus:- 4 4 11 Mars-Yuti 4 5 10
It's N.Swami :-------- J upiter:- (1) (6) (9) Cusp Yuti: (1) asp.(7)
It's Sub :------------ Sun:- 3 2
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Mars:- (4) (5) (10) Venus-Yuti (4) 4 11

So Venus signify 7
th
and 5
th
, the supporting house.
So dasa, Bhukti and anatara are connected to 2-7 and 5
th
house. In some cases the chain is completed in
sookshma period. To complete the chain we need a house 11
th
.and such a planet is Moon and Saturn. And
they signify as follows:

PLANET : MOON
Itself :-------------- Moon:- (11) 1 Saturn-Drusht (2) (7) 8
It's N.Swami :-------- Moon:- (11) 1 Saturn-Drusht (2) (7) 8
It's Sub :------------ J upiter:- 1 6 9 Cusp Yuti: (1)
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Saturn:- (2) (7) 8

PLANET : SATURN
Itself :-------------- Saturn:- 2 7 8
It's N.Swami :-------- Venus:- (4) 4 11 Mars-Yuti (4) (5) (10)
It's Sub :------------ Moon:- (11) 1 Saturn-Drusht (2) (7) 8
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Moon:- (11) 1 Saturn-Drusht (2) (7) 8

JASA Vol. 1(5) Mar-Apr 2012
40

Both Saturn and Moon signifies 2-7-11 houses but Saturn signifies 2-7-11 houses on 3
rd
-4
th
step hence I
have selected the Saturn sookshma which operates during 18
th
Dec 2010 to 8
th
J an.2011.

So I informed the above period to the relative of native and actual marriage was celebrated on 8
th
Dec. 2010
just 10 days difference. Again I hit the bulls eye.

Naadi Jyothisha - Jeeva And Sareera Method:
Analysis on Defective Child Birth

Jyothida Thendral Mrs. R .Vijayalakshmi

Jai Guruji Meena 2

I am dedicating this article to Guruji NV Raghavachay (Meena2) and placing this in front of his golden
feet on his 99
th
Birthday and beginning of his centenary celebration year. May Guruji bless me to write
many more research articles, my sincere gratitude to Dr.NVRA Raja son of Guruji for his encouragement
and guidance.

My Guruji Sri NV Raghavachary (Meena 2), had spent more than two-thirds of his life on Astrological
research and highlighted on the importance of the constellations and some basic concepts of the
Stellar(Naadi) Astrology. Guruji Sri.NVR (Meena2) had noted that timing of events can be easy identified
by using stellar effects.

In this article, I had taken the concepts of J eeva and Sareera to identify the timing of events using
vimsothari dasa system given by Dr.NVRA Raja, Jr.Meena2 son of Sri.NVR . In the Stellar system of
Astrology, the constellations and their lords are the basis to find out the J eeva and Sareera planets of the
respective Bhavas or Houses in a chart. J eeva Sareera method gives a new approach for timing of the
events and enables reasonable and knowledgeable astrologer to pin point the events that are likely to
happen.

Man lives and thrives in society. He cannot live in isolation and to bring happiness and to develop his
personality he need a partner in his life this helps him to share his weal and woe. Union of two souls in
happy wedlock is a boon to mankind. Wife and husband are complementary to each other. The aim of a
happy married life is progeny that too to have a blessed, beautiful child and who bring laurels to the
parents. In Sanskrit the word child Tanaya or Tanayaa means or derived from the root tan to stretch.

There are no two opinions that a limited family brings happiness. But to achieve a limited and healthy
family planned methods have to be adopted. The time of coitus has a definite and scientific say on the
future birth. That means the time of birth is linked to the time of coitus or adhana. The word adhana or
nisheka means to me of coitus and for our purpose the coitus that really caused the conception. If the time
of coitus is accurately known we can arrive the birth of child.

We know that the Moon takes 273.2 days to complete 10 zodiacal revolutions, then we can arrival of the
child by adding 273 days from the date of coitus or adhana, by using astrological calculations explained by
our seers, we can identify when the baby will be delivered just before 273 days or just after 273 days either
in Krishna paksha or sukla paksha etc. As we all know that the development of the child will be under the

th

th

th

th

Dr.NVRA Raja in his publication Stellar Effects in Astrology-J eeva and Sareera had given a wonderful
principle to identify the child birth of a native will be healthy without any defects in the body of the child.
If an astrologer using this principle and guiding a couple when to plan for the child, i am sure they will be
blessed with healthy child. The advantage of this method is that husband and wife can lead a controlled life,
they will be able to know when they can expect a child and plan a healthy baby without any defects.

Basic Rules to identify Jeeva and Sareera Planets:
Rule 1:

The J eeva planet is the Lord of the constellation in which the particular Bhava lord is posited and the
Sareera planet is the lord of the star in which the J eeva planet is situated.

Rule 2:
When the J eeva planet joins another stronger or powerful planet, the powerful or stronger planet becomes
the J eeva planet in other words the stronger or powerful planet snatches away the right of other planet. This
may happen in case of Sareera also.

Rule 3:
In cases where the Bhava lord is in his own constellation the Bhava Lord himself becomes the J eeva planet.
The Lord of the House in which the J eeva Lord is tenanted is the Sareera planet.
Rule 4:
At times the Bhava lord is not only situated in his own constellation but also placed in his own house and
in these cases the J eeva planet itself becomes the Sareera planet.

Defective Child Birth

Rule:

At the time of child birth, if dasa, bukthi or anthara lords are connected with dusthanasa(6,8,12) for
the 5
th
house or Putrakaraka Jupiters Jeeva or Sareera planets then the native begets Defective
child.-By Dr.NVRA Raja,Jr.Meena2 page No. 348 Stellar

Conclusion:

We can observe from the above analysis by applying the above said principle that both Husband and wifes
Dasa, bukthi and anthara lords had connection with both 5
th
house and Putrakaraka J upiters J eeva and
Sareera planets respectively had given child birth to them. But their Dasa bukthi and anthara lords also had

are very useful prediction tools to arrive the timing of events and also nature of events likely to happen. I
trust that this principle will help every astrologer to successfully guide a couple to have a normal and

provided TOB is 100% correct and tallying with RP BTR rules & ROO BTR rules.

Now lagna lord J UP (has no planets in its stars) signify 9,10,1,3,2 in descending order of strength, which is
a clear indication of very strong lagna lord for dual ascendant Dhanu. Now lagna CSL RAH (has no planets
in its stars) signify 1,2,5,6,8,9,12 as CSL of those bhavas, aside RAHU=7,8,3,9,10,7,9, so lagna bhava is
only moderately strong as both 1,2,3,9,10 & 5,7,8,12 significations are there.

Clubbing both the lagna lard & lagna bhava it can well be concluded that LAGNA is of good strength for
Sh. Kumar.

Analysis of winning:-

Now, to win such prize awards, money 3rd CSL should be preferably connected, 3rd CSL
Ma=9,11,2,4,11,12,1,3 in descending order of strength. and SUBLORD of 3rd CSL MA is
Ra(1,2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10,12) , so sublord RAHU which is the supremo to control Mars is showing 1 (self effort
in competition) ,6 ( winning in competition),2,8 ( un-earned income), 3,5,10 (winning prize money & social
respect).
So it can be said that during very birth time, prize winning and lottery & award money winning is destined
for this native.

Now we should check whether the current running DBAS was favorable for him or not. As per information,
he was won KBC5 on 25.10.2011, DBAS running that period VEN-VEN-MON-J UP from 16.10.2011 to
29.10.2011,

Now VEN has no planets in it stars, so VEN will signify house 10 being a CSL of that house. aside VEN=
8 (un-earned income), 10 (social prestige/status/fame), 5 (lottery/speculative gain), 6 (win in a
competition), VEN is in SUN sub which will control the effects of VEN, SUN=11 (fulfilment of
desire/earning money/gain), 10 (social prestige/status/fame), 4,12. So as we can see the sublord SUN also
signify supporting houses 10,11 for VEN's signification of 8,10,5,6.

Therefore, we can conclude that in VEN dasha/bhukti/anthara the native will have high chance to fructify
his cuspal promise of prize money winning.[ as described in the earlier paragharph]

Now, MON=9,3,2,8 in the sub of MAR=9,11,2,4,12 further makes MON anthara as the winning
combination in DBA, and J UP=10,9,1,3 in the sub of MER=9,10,1,3,7 also qualify for prize winning due to
1,3,10 signification.

Therefore it can be well concluded that VEN(10,8,5,6)-VEN(10,8,5,6)-MON(9,3,2,8)-J UP(10,9,1,3) DBAS
is very strong for the prize winning for the native as all the planets are in favourable sub and carry the
signification of 'unearned money as prize winning in a competition' in natal chart(houses 10,8,6,3,5,2,1)

Reason Why Mr. Sushil Kumar has to wait until 25.10.2011 to win such a lumpsum prize of 5 crore
and become a crorepati from a poor person:-

In the natal chart 2nd CSL RAH is signifying 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10,12 , which shows that native's financial
condition will be poor ( due to unfavourable house 5,7,8,9,12) untill some good Dasha of 2,6,10,11
signification operates and in that dasha only native's financial condition will become good ( due to
favourable 2,6,10 signification of 2nd CSL also) And we all know that as per KP, both dasha lord and its
sublord( the controller/supremo) should be significator of 2,6,10,11 to make native rich if cuspal promise
present in chart.

Now native's first dasha SAT(9,2,3,8) in SUB of MON(3,8,2,9)---->clearly not supportive of getting
wealth. Next Dasha at the age of 6yr 2 months, MER(7,9,10,1,3) in SUB of KET(1/2 orb, 9,3,8)--->here
sublord diverts the dasha lord and the native only get moderate wealth.

Next at the age of 23 yr 2 month, he entered KET mahadasha, KET(1/2 orb, 9,3,8) in SUB of
SUN(10,4,11,12)---->here as the dasha lord Ketu itself is not supportive of wealth so sublord SUN
although with favourable signification can't give high wealth.

Next comes current VEN mahadasha, VEN(10,8,5,6) in the SUB of SUN (10,11,4,12)-->here in this dasha
only both dasha lord & sublord jointly signify favourable house for finance/wealth 10,6,11. So becoming
rich and prize winning happens.

Purchase of Property: Analysis with 4 Step Theory

Subhash Ektare

My son recently shifted his residence to a nearby city. He was in search of a good house to be purchased
which always takes some time. So he has rented a decent house for the time being. Sometime in J uly 2011,
the land lord served him a notice to vacate the house in two months because the house owner wanted to sell
his house. Therefore he started searching for another rented house. Shifting of a house is really a big
botheration and naturally everyone tries to avoid it as far as possible. Further he had to face a problem of
school admissions for his children. To circumvent all these problems he was of the opinion to purchase the
same house he has hired and gave a proposal to the present landlord to that effect. But my son was not sure
whether he could win over many competitors. So on evening of 8
th
August 2011 he requested for an
astrological advice regarding this matter. Horary charts are best suited for handling such type of questions
than the Natal charts. Since I was also directly involved and affected, a computer generated horary number
220 was taken by me. A horoscope for Horary #220 on 8
th
August 2011 at 21:28:03 at Cupertino Lat 37-
19-12 N and Long 122-04-31 W was worked out.

In Horary chart Moon should signify houses related to question in mind. In this chart Moon is in 10
th
house
conjoined with 10
th
cusp (immovable property of seller) and aspecting 4
th
cusp (immovable property house
for native). Moons star lord Mercury is in 6 (competition between purchasers, and also represents loan for
the native). The sub lord of Moon is J upiter lord of 11 (no planets in 11) and deposited in 2. Thus Moon
reflects the question in mind.

11 CSL is Mars
Four step signification of Mars is: ( Numbers in bracket show strong signification)
Itself :-------------- Mars:- 4 2 9 10
It's N.Swami :-------- Rahu:- (10) Cusp Yuti: (10) Rashi-Swami Mars (4) 2 (9) 10
Moon-Yuti (10) 6
It's Sub :------------ J upiter:- (2) (11)
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Venus:- (6) (3) 4 (8) Sun-Yuti (6) 7
Strong signification of 11 (in 3
rd
step i.e. sub level) shows fulfillment of natives desire.

Since the matter is regarding immovable property, consent from 4 CSL is necessary. In this chart 4
CSL is Rahu. Its 4 step signification is:

Itself :-------------- Rahu:- 10 Cusp Yuti: (10) Rashi-Swami Mars 4 2 9 10
Moon-Yuti 10 6
It's N.Swami :-------- Mercury:- (6) (5)
It's Sub :------------ J upiter:- (2) (11)
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Venus:- (6) (3) 4 (8) Sun-Yuti (6) 7

Rahu strongly signifies 2 (finance; bank balance), 11(fulfillment of desire), 6 (success in competition and
getting loan), 8 (bank balance of opposite party i.e. land lord) and lastly 5 (gain of land lord). So Rahu has
given his Green Signal. Now we have to study DBAS lords for the timing of fructification of event. At
the time of judgment, Mer-J up-Ven-Mars were operating as DBAS lords. Let us study their 4 step
significations.

Dasha Lord Mercury
Itself :-------------- Mercury:- 6 5

It's N.Swami :-------- Ketu:- (4) Cusp Yuti: (4)
Moon-Drusht (10) 6
It's Sub :------------ Rahu:- 10 Cusp Yuti: (10) Moon-Yuti 10 6
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Mercury:- (6) (5)

Mercurys signification of 4, 6 and 10 is favorable for native and 8 and 5 (i.e. 2 and 11 for the opponent) is
favorable for opponent. Thus Mercury is definitely favorable.

Bhukti Lord J upiter

Itself :-------------- J upiter:- (2) (11)
It's N.Swami :-------- Venus:- (6) (3) 4 (8) Sun-Yuti (6) 7
It's Sub :------------ Sun:- (6) 7 Venus-Yuti (6) (3) 4 (8)
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Mercury:- (6) (5)

J upiter signifying 5, 6 and 8 is also favorable.

Antara lord Venus

Itself :-------------- Venus:- 6 3 4 8 Sun-Yuti 6 7
It's N.Swami :-------- Mercury:- (6) (5)
It's Sub :------------ Venus:- 6 3 4 8 Sun-Yuti 6 7
It's Sub's N.Swami :-- Mercury:- (6) (5)

Venus is signifying 5 and 6 which is favorable. However it can be seen that none of these DBA lords
signify 12
th
house which is necessary as it indicates investment of native. The matter will not fructify unless
the chain is complete. But we cannot leave this Venus antara for the reason it is operative till 7
th
Nov 2011
and land lord is not likely to wait till such a long period. Therefore we have to search for a planet signifying
12
th
house as sookshma dasha lord. The only planet signifying 12
th
house is Saturn as it is lord of 12
th
house
which is vacant and in addition there are no planets in any of Saturns stars. This sookshma period
operating from 19
th
Sept 2011 to 11
th
Oct 2011 is considered favorable for matter in question.

Secondly it is experienced that many times analyzing co-rulers of Fortuna also shows whether desire of
native will be fulfilled or not. This is not an established rule but just an observation and needs further
research. I started using it recently and the results are encouraging. In this particular case it is surprising to
see all the co-rulers of Fortuna are favorable and appearing as DBAS lords chosen for fructification of
event.

Majority of astrologers are of opinion that Ruling Planets do not help them all the time. Therefore in four
step theory use of ruling planets is avoided as far as possible. However most of four step followers accept
that ruling planets is a divine help but should be used as a last resort. In this case also I have avoided the
use of ruling planets in my analysis. However it is worthwhile to note how this divine help miraculously
JASA Vol. 1(5) Mar-Apr 2012
55

comes to the rescue of an astrologer. Dasha lord Mercury, bhukti lord J upiter and Sookshma lord Saturn are
the strongest ruling planets at the time of judgment.

As a result of above analysis it was predicted that natives desire of owning this house will definitely be
fulfilled but actual transaction will take place after 19
th
September 2011.

Actual fact:
Actual transaction took place on 22
nd
September 2011 and the native became the legal owner of the house.
It was Thursday ruled by lord of 11 J upiter (bhuktinatha) having no planets in its stars, Moon was in
Pushya Nakshatra owned by Saturn (sookshmanatha) lord of 12 (investment) having no planets in its stars.
Thus transit agreed in full.

Credit of such accurate prediction goes to KP and Four Step Theory.

Nakshatra Prashna cum Medical Astrology

Nadi Jyothisa Kesari Dr. NVRA Raja, PhD, Jr.Meena 2

Jyotiskritam Jyotirvidam Nakshatraadheesham Avyayam
SarvaJyotis Svarupinam Tam Bhaje Naraharim Harim

I pray to the eternal Lord Narahari, who is extolled in the Vedas as the creator of light (Jyotishkrit), knower of light
(Jyotirvid), the Lord of all the Nakshatras (Nakshatradheesha) and the embodiment of all the lights (Sarva Jyotis Svarupa).

I am dedicating this article to Guruji Sri NVR (Meena2) on his centenary celebration year (2012-2013)
This article is in continuation to my article published earlier in JASA Vol-1 and Issue 3.

Prasna/Horary astrology is successfully being used for rectification of natal chart. It also helps in
interlinking the planets of horary chart to natal chart. If birth chart is studied properly, it will give us
detailed events of life and its direction. Prasna/Horary chart can also be prepared to get answers to even
such specific questions as those pertaining to what we did just a few hours back.

Prasna/Horary horoscope is prepared on the basis of the time when the question is asked. Prasna concerns
itself with the moment at which a question is put and hence involves that birth of the mind or a phase of
thinking of consequence to the quireist. The time when the question is asked is very important to give or
decode the horary chart to give prediction connected with various matters such as work, success in a
venture, recovery of stolen items, marriage, remarriage children, health, foreign travel, job opportunities,
life and death questions etc. Here I would like to link the question asked by a questioner on medical with
Nakshatra Prasna and how easily we can indicate the disease and also acuteness of it and probable cure.

th
house indicates
hospitalisation or treatment. When self/ first house connects to 6/8/12 houses only the native gets disease or
any event (medical) happens. This we will have to understand and analyse the medical astrology.

Nature of disease: Strong connection of Saturn to 6
th
house- it is chronic disease. Strong connection of
Mars to 6
th
house-it is acute nature. Strong connection of Mercury to 6
th

When disease occurs- During the conjoined period of the significator of 1 and 6 or 8 or or12.

Cure: If the significator of 6
th

Jeeva-Sareera technique for Prasna and linked to Medical astrology:
In this technique, the five central concepts of Day Rising Moon, Horary Moon, Nakshatra Prasna Lagna,
J eeva planet and Sareera planet are used as key indicators for the purpose of analysis and prediction. These
terms are defined below:

Definitions:
Day Rising Moon (DRM): This is the Nakshatra in which Moon is posited at the time of sunrise on the
day the question is asked.
Prasna Nakshatra (PN) / Horary Moon (HM): This is the Nakshatra running at the time of the question.
Sri Meena2 has hinted about how to divide a day into Nakshatras in his book Practical Stellar Astrology.
The technique to precisely determine this is clearly illustrated in my book Stellar Effects Nakshatra
Prasna (SENP).
Prasna Nakshatra Lord (PNL): The Lord of the Prasna Nakshatra / Horary Moon.
Nakshatra Prasna Lagna (NPL): The Sign/Rasi in which the Prasna Nakshatra Lord is posited is termed
Nakshatra Prasna Lagna
Jeeva Planet:
4
Typically, this is the Lord of the star in which the PNL is posited. However, there are other
rules that govern special cases when this is not applicable. These are enumerated in my book SENP.
Sareera Planet: Typically, this is the Lord of the star in which the J eeva planet is posited. However, there
are other rules that govern special cases when this is not applicable. These are enumerated in my book
SENP.
By linking the J eeva and Sareera planets posited house or significance of planets we can easily identify the
expected disease and probable cure to it.

Lady of middle aged telephoned at 11.15 am on 18-1-2012 that she has severe pain and also abnormal
bleeding and bleeding is not stopping and put a question will it stop normally or any serious medical
attention required?

At the time of Prasna, Prasna Nakshatra is Poorvashada, whose lord is Venus posited in Aquarius should
become Nakshatra Prasna Lagna. From here we will have to analyse the question or Prasna. Venus is in the
star of Sadabisha whose lord is Rahu and hence he has become J eeva Planet. J eeva planet Rahu is in the
star of Mercury then he has become Sareera planet.

To identify J eeva and Sareera for Venus: linking Nakshatra Sadabisha and J esta (Rahu and Mercury are
J eeva and Sareera). Disease expected should be linked to the powerful and also linked more with malefic
planet nakshatra.

JASA Vol. 1(5) Mar-Apr 2012

J esta Piles, fistula, pain in the arms and shoulders,
secret parts pain
Sadabisha High BP, fracture, lame, rheumatism, leprosy,
cancer

Day rising Moon Vishaka (is with Saturn)-take this nakshatra for considering disease indicates womb,
abnormal bleeding. (She had informed abnormal bleeding). Sadabisha (Rahu posited in its exalted house-
take this nakshatra for disease identification) indicates linking to serious malignant disease. (Severe pain is
it malignant disease?). J esta (fluctuating in nature) indicates problem near the secret parts. (Severe
bleeding). J eeva Planet Rahu posited in Scorpio-sign indicates Uterus. Sareera planet Mercury posited in
Sagittarius indicates parts nearing hips.

At the time of Prasna, the J eeva planet Rahu is posited in Scorpio, which indicates Uterus and also Rahu is
posited in natural 8
th
house, this indicates that there is a problem in that area. The J eeva planet Rahu is
being aspected by Mars and hence she requires medical attention immediately and will be cured within two
days because the Sareera planet posited in 11
th
house(fast moving planet) who is the lord of 5
th

house(negative to 6
th
house) and is being aspected by J upiter and the same J upiter is also aspecting Mars.
How to analyse and bless her that she will be cured with medical attention in two days without any major
problem? It was informed that nothing to fear and no malignant disease indicated.

Day rising Moon if touches or gets into the sign of Rahu, events like cure will happen. Out of Rahu and
Mercury, the Rahu is posited in its exalted house and hence Rahu has to be given importance. In fact she
had gone to doctor on 18
th
evening and doctors advised her for DNC on 19
th
and details sent for biopsy on
the same day... Once you apply a nakshatra reflection theory, that the J upiter from Aries is aspecting the
Mars posited in Leo and in turn Mars aspects the Rahu posited in Scorpio indicates that she will have safe,
good treatment and will get cure and disease is not of malignant nature. Note also the Sareera planet
Mercury itself the yoga karaka (connection to 5
th
house) and being aspected by J upiter (the lord of 11
th

house), so both J eeva and Sareera planets getting a benefice aspects. Both J eeva and Sareera planets are not
enemies among themselves. Like this you can link the Nakshatra Prasna Lagna to any question not only to
medical astrology but also to any question which requires instant answer.

Guruji Sri NV Raghavachary (Meena2), in early 1983, developed the method of dividing a day into
Nakshatras. Poojya Guruji Poornanda Swamyji asked me to explain the division and its application during
my visit to Srisailam in the year 1994 but I could not do so that time but on my return from Srisailam as
advised by Swamyji I requested my father to explain details about the division and how to use the same
thereby I could get the hints from him. If Swamiji had not advised me to take hints from my father, really
this division of Nakshatras would have remained as division only. This shows that without a divine
intervention no one can reveal the secrets of Naadi astrology.

KP Research in Cancer Part II

Nayan Mukhopadhayay

In the previous issue Ive discussed step1 & step 2 in details. In this issue Ill focus step 3 & step 4 i.e. data
collection, data preparation and some basic testing of available hypothesis. Astro-Databank Wiki
(http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Main_Page) is my main source of data.

For this research purpose 418 AA rated charts having CANCER as major dieses have been considered.
So, here my sample size is (n=418). The goal with data collection for research is to obtain as random a
sample as possible, so that the data are randomly distributed and may be analyzed with appropriate
statistical tests. Randomly collected data remove certain selection biases related to clients who tend to
choose one particular astrologer over another. In medical research, this would apply to patients who go to
one particular physician.

KP Astrological Chart Calculation:
For every case in the study, I calculated the KP astrological chart using KP Star One software. Original KP
Ayanamsha and the Placidious house system were applied for all chart calculations. After running and
analyzing each chart, the variables were coded numerically and manually entered into the database for each
cancer patient.

MS Excel is used as the basic platform to collect data in structured format. Below is the table being used by
me for collecting general information of the patients.

The same above set of data type will continue for rest of the planets significations. From this table we will
get the whole information about the planets signification. Since Ive considered only 4 STEP Theory for
my research the above signification is based as per the theory.

Well, so why I am trying to explain all the above templates? The answer is when we will put all the data in
MS Excel; all the above three templates together will help us to visualize the whole astrological
information in a tabular format in a structural way. This tabular structure is the very basic step for any
statistical analysis to identify the frequency, sample size, nature of data etc.

We need to remember some points to remove noise data. While creating the charts:
1. We should be careful about the Time Zone especially when the place is being entered manually.
2. Pay attention to the War time or DST correction if applicable.
3. Whether the birth time is in Standard time or LMT or GMT. We need to change it if required.

Nature of the diseases as per KP:
The ascendant and the significators of the ascendant will indicate whether one can maintain good health or
suffer from any disease or will have rapid or slow recovery from the ailment or succumb to it.

The sixth house denotes the upset of the health, the disease from which one will suffer its nature and
duration of the disease. It is not necessary that one should suffer from any one variety of the disease in his
JASA Vol. 1(5) Mar-Apr 2012
64

lifetime whenever he falls ill. The nature changes according to the significator of the disease and the period
running. Normally there will be a few significators of the sixth house. All cannot cause diseases unless the
same significator of the sixth house is also significator of the first house.

But if the significator of the sixth house is also the significator of 1 and also 12 one will be confined to bed
or isolated, i.e. hospitalized.

The fatal disease is shown by the significator of the 8th house. One may suffer from various diseases during
his life time. But that which would be the last disease from which one suffer, is indicated by the sub-lord of
the 8th cusp.

The above concept is very important. Since we are focusing Cancer for our research we will consider the 1
st

, 6
th
, 8
th
and 12
th
bhava as our primary consideration or data point.

Methodology:
1. We will try to find out the percentage of each planet, signifying 6 or 8 or 12.

Source: JASA Research Team

From the above chat we can observe that J upiter is the planet signifying 6 or 8 or 12 as 86%. So just simply
based on this observation shall we conclude that when J upiter is signifying 6 or 8 or 12 Cancer will be there
in the card? No not at all. We need further confirmation and research. In fact here all the planets are
signifying 6 or 8 or 12 in a very high degree of almost 80% So, we cannot infer taking a single planet. But
then one alternative is there if we say that when all the planets or majority (6/7) of the planets are signifying
6,8 or 12 there is a high probability of fetal or severe disease like Cancer.

2. Now we will try to understand the connection i.e. how each of the planet is connected to a particular
planet.

For this first we need to understand what connection is really mean.
a. If planet A occupies in a sign owned by Planet B or
b. If Planet A is in the Star or Sub of Planet B or
c. If Planet A is in conjunction or aspected by Planet B

Here Ive tried to check the connection of each planet with J u, Ma, Sa or Ra. For connection purpose Ive
only considered point a & b. Again J upiter shows 95% frequency to be connected to J u, Ma, Sa or Ra.
Similarly other planets are also connected to J u, Ma, Sa or Ra in a very high degree of percentage.
Combining the above two concept we can create a construct and say If majority of the planets (minimum
6/7) in the horoscope are signifying 6, 8 or 12 AND connected to J u, Ma, Sa or Ra there will be Cancer.
Else we can say If J upiter is signifying 6, 8 or 12 AND connected to J u, Ma, Sa or Ra there will be
Cancer

Well, from all the above data analysis we have seen the concentration of 6, 8 or 12 with different
combination. But they are not sufficient to reach out to a single rule. We need a complex model or construct
to reach out to a conclusion. A single rule can never explain a complex disease like cancer. All these 6, 8
or 12 connection will only give us a clue for a Serious or Fatal type disease but to make sure that the
disease is cancer we need advance research and combinations of different rules.

Simply going by signification we can never predict the nature of disease. We need to impose the nature of
bhava, sign and planet as well to reach to a conclusion along with the signification.

The Lunar Constellations (Part 1): Ashwini

Dr. E.S. Neelakantan

All constellations form part of the zodiac. In astrology, this band is divided into 12 equal parts called signs,
each 30 wide. The Vedic constellations have a spiritual purpose in the cosmos. They constitute the
repository of our Karma. Our ancestors believed that our souls travelled to stars after death. Complete lists
of the Nakshatra-s occur in the Yajur Veda (Taittriya Samhita IV.4.10) and in the Atharva Veda (XIX .7).
Western Astrology is largely based on solar signs, while the Eastern Astrology attaches much importance to
lunar signs. A persons birth star is an important factor in discovering the intrinsic psychological foundation
of that persons horological chart. Each star has a presiding deity and is ruled by a particular planet.

We can group all stars into four categories:
1. Stars, which fall under one particular sign (Rasi): e.g., Bharani, Pushya, and Revati.
2. Stars, which fall into two signs equally: e.g., Dhanishta, Mrgashirsha, and Chitra. Chitra, for instance,
has its first two quarters (padas) in Virgo and the balance in Libra.
3. Stars, which have their initial pada in one sign: e.g., Krittika, Uttaraphalguni, and Uttarashada.
4. Stars, which have only their final pada in one sign: e.g., Punarvasu, Vishaka, and Poorvabhadrapada.

Stars are also classified on their innate qualities such as sattva, rajas, and tamas.

We are somehow, intrinsically linked to the Cosmos, through a star. That star is none other than our birth
star janma nakshatra, as we call it. On visiting a temple and on entrusting a ritual, the pundit does the
sankalpa as follows: I am doing this ritual for the person (Name will be recited), born in gotra, born in
star, born in rasi, for this persons health , wealth and happiness.

Stars connect with planets; planets connect with the human body; body is connected to the mind. If one
understands this connection, one can easily understand that stars are linked to mind. Even when remedial
measures such as Maha Mruthyunjaya Homam are performed, they are usually conducted on a favourable
star such as the 2
nd
, 4
th
, 6
th
star from ones janma nakshatra. Usually the 3
rd
, 5
th
, and 7
th
stars are avoided as
these these are inimical.

Here I wish to clarify one issue. I just now said avoid 3
rd
, 5
th
and 7
th
stars. In the Anujanma category the
inimical stars are 12, 14, 16; in the Trijanma category the inimical stars are 21, 23, 25; so should all the
stars be avoided for auspicious functions such as Grihapravesha or Vivaha? The answer is no. J ust avoid
3, 5, 7. Extending this argument would be carrying on this principle, endlessly, ad nauseam. If we decry
stars endlessly, a stage might come when no ritual can be done by anyone. So avoid certain destructive stars
but do not stretch this argument endlessly.

For pumsawana, Pushya is the best; for vivaha, Swati is the best; for tonsure Punarvarsu is the best; avoid
travel on Bharani, Ardra, Aslesha, Poorvaphalguni, Poorva Bhadrapada, and Poorvashada.

With these introductory remarks, we shall now proceed to discuss the qualities of Ashwini, which is the
first star in the Zodiac.

ASHWINI

Aries begins with Ashwini. This star constitutes the first 13
o
and 20 of Aries sign. It is ruled by Ketu. It is
a star with tremendous power denoting initiation, transformation and enterprise. Stars are luminous. Planets
reflect Suns light, whereas stars radiate light. Even the Saptarishis now live amidst us in the form of stars
only. Kshatra means destruction; Nakshatra means indestructible. There are innumerable stars in the
galaxy; of these, the Vedas have introduced to us, only 27, which guide us in Vedic Astrology.

The divine doctors, namely Ashwini Devas govern this star. They are the physicians of Gods. The Sun is
exalted in the tenth degree of Aries, which means it gains exaltation while in Ashwini star. Ashwini belongs
to a category of nakshatras, which are termed as laghu (not heavy, light). The three light stars are Ashwini,
Hastam, and Pushya. These light stars are swift in their working. Hence they are suitable for the following
activities:
1. Trade
2. Sensual activities
3. Gaining knowledge
4. Fine arts
5. Making ornaments
6. Medical treatment
7. Borrowing or repayment of money.

If medical treatment commences in Ashwini, cure is certain and will happen soon. This is due to the fact
that Ashwini is a light star, which hastens cure. Secondly the governing deities of Ashwini star are the
Ashwini Kumara-s, the divine doctors. Money borrowed in Ashwini tends to get repaid soon. There are
nine Tiryangmukha nakshatras and Ashwini is one among them. These stars are Mrigasira, Punarvasu,
Hasta, Chitra, Swati, Ashwini,Anuradha, Jyeshta and Revati.

The chara-chala nakshatras are Punarvasu, Swati, Sravana, Dhanishta and Satabhisa. Please keep the
following dictum in mind always: whatever deed is supposed to be done in a laghu star can also be done
under chara-chala star; the converse is also equally true.

According to Kalaprakasika, when a part of a loan is repaid while moon is in lagna in Ashwini star, then
the entire debt will get discharged easily (Ch XXXII, Verse I). This rule will be useful to people in high
debts and will enable them to rid their debts.

According to Mantreswara, When Venus occupies Ashwini star in lagna and is aspected by either three or
more planets, a king who is capable of vanquishing all his enemies, is born (vide Phaladeepika, Ch 7,
verse 8). The following rituals can be performed in Ashwini star: grihapravesha, vidyaramba, shanti
karmas for a child born in Gandanda, upanayanam, pumsavanam and vivaha.

Ashwini being a Tiryangmukha nakshatra, it favours purchase of vehicles, buying horses, singing and
playing of musical instruments, learning to drive vehicles, journeys in water, land, and air. A person born in
the four padas of Ashwini will have the following traits: passionate, not given to hard work, liked by
everyone, long lived. Persons born in Ashwini star will be benefitted by the worship of Ashwini Devas
using the mantra Am Ashwini Kumarya Namaha.

We will discuss the salient features of Bharani, in the next issue.

Sub Harmonics Part II
6

Rajendra Nimje, IAS

Is it complex to work out the filter as per sub-harmonics?

The answer is yes and no both. Sub-Harmonics is a very simple concept based on ancient astrology
principles. It is not complex mathematical expression nor does it expect very accurate Birth Time for natal
charts(as the case in Sub-Sub theories.) However, we are looking for each of the significed houses to be
tested for CSLs subs harmony and hence we have to check for each significator for each of the CSLs
Sublord indication. This gives a two dimetional array. Let us try to understand this through an example.
Say a case of marriage. We are having significators of the Dasa Lord as 1,2,4,5,10.

The sublord of the Dasa Lord(DL) is indicating 2,7,9 the DL being occupancy in 9
th
and ownership over 2
and 7. In order to check the harmony of the Dasa Lord Mars with its sublord Venus we have to examine
the harmony of signified Cusp 1 with its sub venus i.e. 2,7 and 9. Here from signified cusp 1 the sub is 2,
7 and 9 houses away. 2 houses away is positive. 7 and 9 does not find places in the range of 1,2,36,10,11
but they are not strong opponent as well (4, 8,12). Hence the net sum is positive. i.e. Sublord Venus is
harmonious with the Dasa Lord Mars for Ascendant cusp results. Hence the native will have strong self
confidence and capability to surge ahead on the matter.

Consider the next significator which is 2
nd
in this case. Compare houses 2
nd
with the sublord houses of 2, 7
and 9. Here from 2
nd
house to 2
nd
house we have distance of 1 house only. From 2
nd
the 7
th
house is

located 6 houses away( 12,3, 6, 10,11 are positive). Second house matter is okyed by its sublord. Then the
next is 2
nd
house significator and sublord indicating 9
th
house i.e. 8
th
from each other. Definitely 2
nd
on 2
nd

is positive and 2
nd
to 6
th
is also positive. However 8
th
is not. Hence we say the matter will be through with
66.66% of the sublord of the Dasa Lords loyalty remains with the completion of the taks. We have work
out on these lines for each significator and for each of the DLs sublord. Though the explanation is looking
more complicated let me promise you that it is not so. It is a simple exercise but we have to check each
significator house w.r.t sublord signified houses and find out whether that particular significator has been
allowed by the sublord to operate or not.

Let us take examples to understand Sub Harmonics Theory in detail:
Case SH1- person born on 20 May
1976, 1030AM, Amangal in Andhra
Pradesh, Long- 78deg31min East and
Lat 16deg38 min North. Ascendant
Cancer 11 deg 36min. Person Married
on 2
nd
J anuary 2005 In DBA-
J u/Mar/Ra
Person Divorce on 10
th
Oct 2007 in
DBA of J u/Ve/Ra

Let us examine the 7
th
house of the SH1 native.

As per KP principles 7
th
sub if connected to 2, 7, 11 means happy marital life and if connected to 1, 6, 10
means discord.

7
th
cusp is in Capricorn 11deg 36 min 24 Moon star and Mar sublord
Mars the 7
th
CSL , its starlord is Sat and sublord is Ven. As per KP Mars the CSL signifies 7, 8,12, 5, 10
houses. Means 7
th
house is favorable for good marital life. 5 and 8 are 11
th
and 2
nd
for the partner and
hence good for marital harmony. 7
th
CSL mars by nature is fiery and will create problem but on
signification there is no indication of 1, 6 or 10 to lead the case to divorce. The 7
th
cusp is potentially strong
to give good results to the native on his marital life and relation. As per 4 step theory, Mars indicate 8 and
12 on step 2 and 2 and 10 on step 4. 2
nd
house is good as kutumba sthana for marital harmony.

In reality, the native has a bad 7
th
house which led him to divorce. How?

7
th
sub Mars signify 12,10 and 5 by occupancy and ownership. Its starlord Saturn signify 12,7 and 8 by its
occupancy and ownership. Hence 7
th
sub signifies 12,10,5 7 and 8. 7
th
Sublord indicating 7
th
means
marriage promised as per KP. 7
th
CSL Mars is under the sub of Venus which signified 10,11 and 4 as per
occupancy and ownership of Venus.

We have to see the relationship between each of the significator houses 12,10,5,7 and 8 comparing to
sublord venus houses 10,11 and 4. It can be best summarized in a tabular format below. Count the houses
from significator to the sublord. E.g start in first column for significator of 12
th
house. From 12
th
to 10
th
is

11 houses away. From 12
th
starting and ending on 11
th
12 houses away. From 12

th

5 houses away.

7

Hence as per the analysis of Sub Harmonics we can conclude that 7
th

sublord of CSL venus do not treat all the significator houses eqally. 7
th
sublord will signify 12
th
but not
strongly, it signifies 10
th
house very strongly. It signifies 5
th
houses very weak and 7
th
house also very
weak. Further is signies 5
th
but not that strongly. Hence 7
th
sublord does not signify 7
th
house strongly.
Instead , it signifies 10
th
house strongly which is opposing the 11
th
house.

Hence through 7
th
house signification is given by Mars , Venus is against it and hence reduces its power to
give matrimonial harmony. As 10
th
house power is enhanced through the sub Venus harmony it is
counterproductive for marriage. Instead of 11
th
signification the signification is of very strong 10
th
house
leading to unhappiness and marital discord which finally led to divorce.

Bhukti during marriage is of Mars whose signification is seen as above. Weak 7
th
house and strong 10
th
.
Bhukti during divorce is of Venus who is signifying 2, 4, 10 and 11. Venuss sublord is Moon placed in 7
th

but Moon by Sub-Harmonics confirms very weak 2
nd
and 4
th
houses. Hence Kutumba and Sukha sthana is
destroyed during this Bhukti and hence the native got divorce during this period. Please note that Venus in
star of Sun who owns 2
nd
house without any planets in it. I.e. KP indicates very strong house during this
Bhukti but the native has a bad 2
nd
house result which is explained by Sub Harmonics. As per 4 step the
signification of Venus is 10,2 on step 2; 7, 1 on step 3 and 12, 5 on step 4. It indicates strong 2 and 7 during
this DBA for the native.

Why?

7
th
CSL signify 1,2,4,5,8,11 and 12. Its sublord is Moon which is placed in 10
th
and owns 9
th
house. Lets
examine each of the significator house against the sublord indicated houses.
7
th
CSL signify -> 1 2 4 5 8 11 12
Sub Moon

9 9-B 8-VB 6- G 5-B 2-G 11-VG 10-G

Total Score Neutral VVB Neutral Neutral B Neutral VVG

The sublord Moon permits Ascendant, 4
th
house 5
th
house and 11
th
house signification in a neutral way. It
however enhances the signification of 12
th
house and reduces the signification of 2
nd
and 8
th
. Among these
two 2
nd
house signification is negligible due to VVB in the column.

Hence though 7
th
signify 2
nd
house , it is very weak and 4
th
and 11
th
both are neutral and not enhanced.
Native got the results of weak family house due to marriage and less happiness from 7
th
house which
ultimately lead to divorce after 12 years of married life. See the role of enhanced 12
th
house signification as
per sub harmonics as explained above.

It may be difficult for many of us to go on counting how many houses the sublord significator is away from
the CSL of DL significators. A simple table is prepared for the astrologers use who can spend quality time
in analyzing the chart as per Sub Harmonics.

Sub- Harmonics Table:

I have prepared a table to apply the above rules quickly. Here start from Significator/s of the house or of
DBA .Take each of the Significator and locate it in the table in top row where from is written. Say your
clients bhukti is indicating fourth house. Start from the 4
th
house travel on the column from top to bottom.
See the yellow color squares. They are harmonious to the matter indicated by the bhukti lord for fourth
house. At each of the yellow square on this column , read the leftmost column numbers in Black color. In
this example it is 2, 4 and 6.

Hence , if the sublord is either in any of these houses or owning any these (2, or 4 or 6 ) houses the sublord
is called as harmonious to the matters of the 4
th
house. On similar lines look at the red squares in the
column for 4
th
house matters. The red square related numbers in the left most column are 3, 7 and 11. If
sublord is either owning or placed in anyone of the houses 3, 7 or 11 then sublord is not harmonious to the
4
th
house matters. In that case the 4
th
house matter though indicated by significators in the given DBA will
not materialize or will happen in negative way. E.g. instead of education to continue, it will end. Instead of
buying a car the client will end up in parting or selling it.

When you are checking the 4
th
house signification and sub lords harmonics and found that the sublord
either owns or in house where it does not indicate either yellow or red squares but only whites then the
sublord is neutral to the matter indicated by the Significator. It is neither for nor against the matter and
hence the matter will go through but not in a forceful manner. E.g. someone will get a house but not to his
full satisfaction. He may get seat in good college but not the best. For each of the Significator apply the sub
lords harmonics as mentioned above and find out how many red or yellow or white squares are indicated.
Decide the strength of sub to harmonize with Significator based on the positive and negative or neutral
factors (squares) indicated as per the table.

No calculations are needed.

sub.

Read the number on the intersection of the significator vs sub. It may be anything from 1 to 12.

If the sub is 1, 3 or 11 houses away from significator and indicated by yellow color the matter will go through.

If the sub is 4, 8 or 12 houses away from significator and indicated by red color the matter will not go through.

If the intersection number is other than 1, 3, 11 or 4, 8, 12 then it is partially favourable and partially not.

Krishnamurti Paddhati and PAM 2

Basilioli Sandro (Vediko)

Introduction
During these months I came in touch with a formula in a book (Nadi astrology accurate predictive
methodology by Umang Taneja), this formula seemed logic to me so I have elaborate it and made some
changes. These changes were made because the original formula is good for longevity from 50 to 90 years
but did not fit in many cases, so i wondered why not elaborate it for the KP Pam theory? Of course it was
only an idea and to make it work some test was made. This Nadi system is similar to KP system , the
difference is if a planet has no planets in his star,he does not signify the cuspal cusps . These research
articles on longevity are for an exel sheet project.

The original Formula and method ( By Astrologer Umang Taneja)
Every planet gives longevity , the good houses are : A=1,5,9,10,11 and the bad are : B=6,8,12 maraka ,
Bhadahka planets. In the calculation the maraka planet are not included in the formula and for the Nodes
only the planet signification are included.

Formula: A / A + B x 120 ( Vimshottari Dasha) = Longevity

The new changes and method
The basic changes are: good houses : A=1,3,5,9,10,11 , Bad: B=6,8,12, 2,7 and Badhaka, this combination
is not used in every case and there is an increase or decrease of combinations depending on the longevity
given by the code of Pam-one, the formula is the same as we use the Vimshottari circle of 120 years.

Decrease and increase of good houses
A):1,5 (strongest one because 1 & 5 does not become a badhaka planet and are good for health)
B):1,5,10 ( the 10
th
house does not become a badhaka planet instead the 9
th
becomes BDK).
C): 1,3,5,9,10,11
D): 1,(3,8),5,9,10,11

Increase and degrease of bad houses
A): 6,8,12, Maraka (2,7) and badhaka
B):6,8,12
C): Maraka planets
D): Badhaka planet

The method combine with the codes:
This was my first idea and the second was how can i combine them? In every KP horoscope there are many
combinations like 2 and 7 that are bad for longevity and good for marriage, if more than one planet signify
these houses whats it mean? There dasha are bad for longevity? No, its not true. It means he could have
more than one marriage and also could have a good lifespan. So not always Maraka planets are included in

Note: (3,8) means, when a single planet has 3 and 8 together and 8 is not counted for the bad houses. With
this in mind and data of 50 cases I have tested the combinations to see the Min and Max approx years they
could reach and test the strength depending on the code used.

A: from 25 to 42y aprox
B: from 31 to 54y aprox
C: from 42 to 78y aprox
C1: from 48 to 78y aprox
D: from 63 to 92y aprox
E: from 80 to 93y aprox
F : from 86 to 102y aprox

We see that the combinations increases the years ,so first we must examine the three combinations for
every code , if we have code =M-L-L from 65 to 100y we must examine C-D or E and see how many years
they give. For example , If C gives 54y it is not close to the Min years =65y and so we must reject it and
choose D and E, this is the way we have to work for the second block.

Significations of planets
In KP Pam theory, we examine the sub lord of ascendant, this planet is in a sign, star and sub and we use
only the signs significations with no use of cuspal sub lords. We also use the orb aspects to find the right
code , these orb aspects or any other aspects are not used ( for the moment ) in the second block , only for
the nodes the aspects of planets are used even if they are distant 20 degree in a sign.

Exact longevity
The idea is, ones we have choose the right two combinations we check for the most harmful dasha bhukti
close to them and decide the aprox longevity. For confidence we could check all the three combinations ,
for example : code S-M-M =from 32 to 67y combinations are A-B and C and check the dasha-bhukti-
antara ( normal KP analysis) and decide.

Real life cases
I give full illustration only in this case, so readers can understand how to find the significations. For chart
details, i give a table so readers can verify my research.

Charlton Heston,Pam-1=L-S-L=from 62 to 93y. Longevity 84y, badhaka:11

Mer 9,11,12 Su-11 Ke-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,11,12

The first Pam block is from 62 to 93 years ,this means the combinations to use are: C1- D- E.
Method C1: 1, 5,9,10,11 and 6,8,12, , Badhaka.
JASA Vol. 1(5) Mar-Apr 2012

A: 17 +B:22=39 17/39x120=52 years

A:29 +B: 14=43 29/43x120=80 years
Combination - E: 1,(3,8),5,9,10,11 and 6,8,12.
A: 30 +B:13=43 30/43x120=83 years

Here we can see clearly witch combination must be rejected, the method=C 1 gives longevity of 52 years
so methods D and E are chosen and the KP second block is from 80y to 83 years. 52 years falls in Venus
dasha and signify maraka with badhaka in star and sub, up to 1986 , as the code starts from age 62y, 52y is
far from this age to be the end . 80 to 83 years falls in Mars dasha and signify maraka, badhaka in sign, star
and sub, up to year 2009 . 80 years falls in dasha, bhukti of Mars a dangerous age and 83 years falls in Mars
and Saturn period . Saturn signify Maraka, badhaka, 4( end of life), and 12 ( exit), so also 83 years is a
dangerous age and could be chosen for exact longevity , he died at the age of 84y. Not in every case we will
find a good second block like in this chart.

Cesare Pavese, Pam-1 =S-S-L from 12 to 42 years. Longevity: 41y, badhaka: 9
First pam block is from 12 to 42 years so we must use combinations A and B .

Combination - A: 1,5 and 6,8,12 ,Maraka ,Badhaka.
A: 9+B: 29=38 9/38x120=28 years
Combination - B: 1,5,10 and 6,8,12, Maraka, Badhaka.
A: 14+B:29=43 14/43x120=39 years
Combinations of A and B are good and the second block is from 25 to 39 years.

Gianni Versace, Pam-1 M-M-M from 34 to 72 years. Longevity: 50 years, badhaka :9.
First Pam block is from 34 to 72 years so we must use combinations B- C1- D.

Combination- B: 1,5,10 and 6,8,12, Maraka, Badhaka.
A: 14 +B: 31=45 14/ 45x120 =37 years.
Combination C1: 1,5,9,10,11 and 6,8,12, Badhaka.
A: 19 +B: 22=41 19/ 41x120 =55 years.
Combination - D: 1,3,5,9,10,11 and 6,8,12.
A: 21+B. 17 =38 21/ 38x120 =66 years.
All combinations are good but for safe we choose B and D =from 37 to 66 years. Here we can go forward
with dasha bhukti analysis and check B,C1 and D for exact longevity.

Vittorio De Sica, Pam-1 M-L-L from 65,4 to 100 years. Longevity:73 years, bhadaka: 9.
First Pam block is from 65,4 to 100 years so we must use combinations C1- D- E.

Combination C1: 1, 5,9,10,11 and 6,8,12, Badhaka.
A: 26+B: 15 =41 26/ 41x120 =75 years.
Combination- D: 1,3,5,9,10,11 and 6,8,12.
A: 31 + B: 13 =44 31/44x120=84 years.
Combination - E: 1,(3,8),5,9,10,11 and 6,8,12.
A:35 +B: 13 =48 35/48x120 =87,5 years.
All combinations are good but for safe we choose C1 and E =from 75 to 87,5 years.

Antony Joseph, Pam-1 :L-L-L from 72 to 100 years. Longevity 80 years, badhaka :7.
For L-L-L code we must use combinations of D- E- F.

Combination - D: 1,3,5,9,10,11 and 6,8,12.
A: 36 +17 =53 36/53x120 =81 years.
JASA Vol. 1(5) Mar-Apr 2012
80

Combination - E: 1,(3,8),5,9,10,11 and 6,8,12.
A: 40 +13 =53 40/53x120=90 years.
Combination - F : 1,(3,8),5,9,10,11 and Maraka.
A: 40 +7 =47 40 / 47x120 =102 years.
In this case all combinations are good , it starts with a good longevity and few persons live up to 100 years
so we can safely predict the second block from 81 to 90 years.
Note: These illustrations show using the three combinations how close we get for exact longevity.

Conclusions
The method for this research is based on micro data of 50 A-A charts. I will go forward because I think I
am in the right direction to find a systematic method for Pam block using the KP principles, the original
method used in the Nadi Astrology book of Umang Taneja was a valid base to start research for the second
Pam block . In the Charlton Heston case, i have illustrate using the dasha periods how to pin point the exact
longevity that is also the basic method in the Nadi system , the only difference is, in Nadi system theres
only one calculation instead in new theory we work with two or three calculations.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL SUCCESSFUL ENTRANTS!!

JAN-FEB 2012 ISSUE FOOD FOR THOUGHT CASE

The birth horoscope of a gentleman is provided. He has given an interview in Sept 2011 and asked an astrologer
whether his interview will materialize? In case the interview materializes, then will he take up the job?

JASA Vol. 1(5) Mar-Apr 2012
86

Dear Sri Dutta,

Please accept my analysis on the Food for Thought published in your esteemed journal JASA in Jan 2012. If my
analysis is correct then please publish it. I hope I have sent my reply quite early.

I will do a very simple KP analysis.

In September 2011, he was running Mercury mahadasa and Moon bhukti. Mercury is in star of Venus, signifying
the 3
rd
house of interview.

Bhukti lord Moon is in star of Jupiter, who is signifying houses 3 and 10.

The 11
th
lord is Saturn in the horoscope. This Saturn, currently in Thulam, is aspecting the Dasa lord and its star

Krishnamurthy Paddhati analysis of Education

P. R. Muralidharan

Houses to be judged: The houses 4, 9 and 11 are to be judged for all matters concerning education of a
native. J upiter is the karaka for Education. It signifies wisdom and comprehension. Mercury signifies
Intelligence and communication skill.

The 4th house is the main house of education and denotes primary education and basic education
(up to graduation). It should be judged to know whether one will attend school or college regularly
and how one will prepare and fare in examinations and competitions.
The 9th house is the house of "Higher Education". It denotes post doctoral research, innovations,
spiritual studies and anything to do with the "higher sciences".
The 11th house is important as it deals with "realization of ambitions" and "fulfillment of
desires". To judge whether one will emerge successful in an examination, the 11th house should be
judged in addition to the 4th house.
To judge when one will complete one's education, the houses 3, 5 and 8 have to judge. This is
because they denote "completion" of the matters concerned with education.
In addition to the above houses, the planets Mercury and J upiter are natural governors of education
and due consideration should be attached to their significance in the native's chart.
2
nd
House signifies the knowledge acquired
11
th
house signifies gain in education.
5
th
house signifies intelligence and the comprehension of the native.
3
rd
house is the prime house of written work, communication and printing work.
.

Is it Promised or not:

General Education means acquiring information and knowledge through parents ,teachers and gurus .This
knowledge can be achieved by constant reading of books and from many ,either by attending the schools
,colleges or seminars etc., Knowledge acquired when applied in various fields of life becomes wisdom
.Normally 4 ,9 ,11 are to be judged for education .Fourth house signifies general education by attending
schools and ninth signify higher education and 11 shows success .Apart from this 2
nd
house signifies
knowledge acquired ..In addition to the above houses of education 5
th
and 3
rd
house acts as facilitators .5
th

signifies intelligence and the comprehension of the above and 3
rd
house signify inclination to communicate
TheClassroom

Dear Andrew ji,

It is pleasure to go through latest issue of JASA because there are many interesting and
thought provoking articles. I would like to specially mention the article written by Sri. Rajendra Nimje. His "Sub
Hormonic Theory" is definitely a step ahead to achieve accuracy in prediction. Secondly, very attractive
presentation of magazine, with its well thought of sections and format is really appreciable. No wonder it has
reached the readership of 6000+from more than 50 countries in the World in such a short time since its first
issue. I wish very bright future for your endeavor.

Regards,
Subhash Ektare

Some time ago Mr. Senthilathiban asked me to review his paper "Trigonometry Behind The
House Cusps," which appeared in the Sept -Oct 2011 issue of this journal. I apologize for
submitting this review so late. I find the paper to be quite a compendium of trigonometric
identities and illustrations of the various points on the celestial sphere. It is nice to have all of this
together in one place. However I m somewhat confused about what assumptions he has made
concerning the mathematical background of his intended audience. He appears to assume
they know nothing of trigonometric identities, but are adept enough to figure out the principle
angles of the inverse trigonometric functions and when to use either the principle angle or the
secondary angle with no guidance and when no mention has been made of the existence
of either. On page 77 he says,". . . the readers those who want to compute the house cusps
without understanding the astronomy, trigonometry and its basic principles, will have tough
time and may get lot of pain to arrive at the correct values." With the above exception, the
author has done a very nice job of introducing the basics of cusp determination. The diagrams
(Figs. 5, 6 and 8) and the discussions of the various astronomical circles and their intersection
points that go with them are excellent. Even though the author has limited the scope of the
article (as mentioned on page 43, last paragraph un the heading Scope), I would encourage
the author to write a follow-up article which addresses the inverse trig problem and perhaps
include a numerical example.
Respectfully submitted,
J ames Neely
