Resource Four Section A

An example template is dispalayed below. The topic of the different social and geographical
dialects or accents that are used within Australia and diverse family settings will be
displayed in the centre of the Gen Board; while students contributions will be arrange and
connected to others, based on similarities.



















Resource Four Section B

Objective Language: Is based on fact, opposed from feelings.
E.g. In Aboriginal cultures, newborn babies are rubbed in the sand of Mother Earth to
cleanse their skin.

Subjective Language: Focuses on the feelings and perceptions of the person, opposed form
fact.
E.g. I think that cleansing newborn babies in sand is an agreeable tradition, while others may
object to the idea.

Bias: Refers to believing that someones opinions and/or traditions are not accurate;
differing from a persons possible beliefs in a controversial manner.
E.g. I believe that water would cleanse a newborn baby more effectively.

Example objective language and phrases have been extracted directly form:

1. In traditional time, kids did not have to set off from home in the morning in order to
go to school.
2. I believe that children have to attend school in order to learn, others may disagree.
