Application for the post of Factory Manager

With reference to the above subject and your advertisement in The Star recently, I would like to
apply for the post of Factory Manager.

Currently, I am working with Sistem Hospital Awasan Taraf Sdn Bhd (SIHAT) as a Senior
Consultant.

I obtained my B.Sc Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Technology
Malaysia in 1987 and currently qualified as a Professional Engineer. I started my career in
manufacturing sector producing building materials (AC corrugated roofing and flat sheet) and
pipes for potable water, drainage and gases (AC, HDPE and MDPE) for about 10 years. During
my tenure in the manufacturing sector, I had involved in the setting up of new plants and works
as a Production and Maintenance Superintendent in the plants.

I then ventured into the Health-care Support Services Industry and joined Propel-Johnson
Controls between 1997 to 2000 as Regional Mechanical Engineer and Hospitals Facility
Manager. I later worked in pharmaceutical manufacturing company as a Plant Engineer before
joining SIHAT Sdn Bhd in 2001 and have been there for the last 12 years until now as a Senior
Consultant. My major roles as Senior Consultant in SIHAT Sdn Bhd is to provide consultancy,
guidelines and technical advice to the Ministry of Health (MoH) on issues pertaining Facility
Engineering Services in government hospitals.
