The Fathers of Sociology Twitter Assignment

Now that you know about the three famous theorists: Marx, Weber, and Durkheim. You will
bring these dead sociologists back to life and have them interact with the modern day technology
of Twitter! Imagine they are all online. What would they say? What would they say to each other?
Who would they follow? Who would follow them?

Create a Twitter page for one of the following Sociologists and include the other two in the tweets:
Marx, Weber, and Durkheim

Requirements

1. Pick your father of Sociology! give him a Twitter handle, have a picture of him "drawn or off
of the internet# Also include a brief biography etc.
2. Put people that your father would follow on Twitter "refer to sheet# and people that your
father would follow.
3. Pick an aspect of sociology to have them discuss on Twitter
4. Remember the tweets can only be 140 characters and they must discuss Sociology
5. Your father is only allowed to tweet/ retweet once.
6. Be prepared to present these to classmates and the class.

The goal of this assignment is to make sure you understand each sociologist point of view
and theory. Make sure that comes across in your script.
