Given what I have stated in my resume and application, I would appreciate your consideration for this job opening. I believe that my skills and experiences are a great match for the teaching aide position. I am a responsible student and also a student in the MLF Teachers College. I would love the opportunity to work within the preschool to gain a wonderful experience that will help me in my career decisions after I graduate. I have had many experiences working with children throughout my whole life.

During my freshman year at ASU, I was given the opportunity to work as a teachers aide in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College Preschool that was located in the Farmers Building. Under the direction of the lead teachers, I worked very closely with children that ranged from the ages of three to five years old. I was responsible for making sure the classrooms were all set up and cleaned before the kids started to come. I supported the children with a variety of things including toileting, cleaning up, problem solving skills etc. I was well versed in working with both the preschool teaching team and the children of the preschool. I also worked in collaboration and abided by the policies and philosophy of the MLFTC preschool as outlined in the staff handbook.
My main interest is to seek a career in which will enrich my knowledge and benefit me in the Education/ teaching career field later in life. I am seeking employment in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College and organization where I can grow professionally and enhance my skills and experiences as Im studying Early Childhood Education and Special Education.
In addition to my interests, I have had many experiences working within a child developmental setting. I am able to assist with a variety of classroom duties. As far as certifications goes, I am certified with the following; Salvation Army, Sacred Boundaries Program fingerprint clearance card American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED and Child CPR and First Aid certified as of 3/19/14 I also obtain a negative TB test. I believe my work experience within the Education field will help the policies and philosophy of the MLFTC preschool. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss the job application further.
