Main Image:

The image is very simplistic and also seems quite

distant in the poster. This makes the protagonist
appear vulnerable straight away. In addition, the
image is centered, meaning the girl is the focus of
the poster bur it could also portray her being the
secluded whilst being the focus pint of abuse.

As the girl is wearing average clothes and her face is
hidden, she immediately becomes relatable to the
audience as she is very generic. Furthermore, as her
face is mostly hidden her abuse is prominent as she
is hiding away.

The background of the image is really powerful in
conveying the abuse the protagonist receives. In
addition, it relates to the idea of cyber bulling as it
looks as if the the text has been written on a
computer.
Colour Palette:

Both colours used make the poster appear quite
cold and blue connotes sadness which symbolizes to
the audience the girls emotions. The girl contrasts
with the background by wearing contrasting colours
making her stand out, which could represent her as
being an outcast.
Film Title:

The colour of the film title
contrast with the blue
background making it stand
out to the audience. The
white could portray the girls
innocence and vulnerability
in her situation, thus
portraying to the audience
that she is the subject of
bullying.

The // instead of two ll
within the title is effective as
it conveys the involvement
and significance of the
internet within the film.
Furthermore, it makes the
title stand out from the other
text on the poster.

Tagline:

The tagline contrasts with the
rest of the text as it is a lot
darker than the other colours
used. This dark colour
connotes sadness, which
reinforces the tagline Words
can hurt.

Furthermore, the font almost
looks as if it had been types,
which coincided with the
theme of bullying over the
internet.
