INTERVIEW ASSESSMENT

AUSTRALIAN GOLD RUSH

Task:
The purpose of this task is to research, construct and present an Interview using the perspectives of your given topic. Initially, you will have to
research and plan your interview, working collaboratively in groups of 3. In these groups you will have to draft and edit a script, 350 words, that
highlights these areas:
Food
Clothing
Earnings
Living Standards
Everyday Life
4 Interesting Facts
Important Dates (plotted on a timeline- to upload to the blog)
You will have to divide the roles, 1 interviewer and 2 interviewees, and film a 3 minute long
interview. You will be given class time to complete this assessment, the only work done at
home should include rehearsal of your script. The topics include:
Women and Children
Miners/ Diggers
Soldiers/Police
Edward Hammond
Australian Government
Chinese
You will be assigned a topic to research; you will not choose the topic yourself. Once your group has filmed their presentation, you must upload
it to the classroom blog, and we will then view them all as a class, giving feedback to each group. Ensure to upload your script, video and
timeline to the designated area on the classroom blog.

*Remember to structure the interview using the correct elements and writing style.
*You may wish to dress up when you film, this will add to the appeal of the presentation.
