Informing Frameworks

The informing framework used in this unit plan is the Gradual Release of Responsibility. Scaffolding
students learning is important. This framework is a successful approach for the classroom
instruction. The gradual release model is teacher- centred, whole- group and student- centred
collaboration and students to work individually. This framework is referred to as I do it, we do it,
you do it, and the model proposes a plan of instruction that includes demonstration, prompt and
practice.
