AGE OF IMPERIALISM

What is imperialism?
Imperialism-( as described by Oxords dictionary) a policy of extending a
countrys power and influence through colonization, use of military force, or
other means. Imperialism is for financial gains where colonialism is often the
case for settlement or commercial intentions.
Imperialism has been around for centuries and has been used by emperors
and leaders of nations to gain labor, land, market and raw material for their
own gain. Even third world countries such as Africa, although poor, they are
very rich in material that others want for themselves.
One way to increase an industrialized economy, would be to send raw
materials to another country and in turn, they will manufacture this material
into valuable products that would then be sold in the market, thus the cycle
would start again.
