What is Creative Coding?

We discuss the historical context through which to consider coding creatively. W

e also give an insight into the basic principles of coding.
Throughout this course you will be challenged to think deeply about some of the
issues discussed in relation to art, creativity, and culture. We think this comp
onent is very important for anyone making creative programs because it provides
a context for how to develop your own creative style and originality.
Creating a generative artwork is much more than just creating a visually attract
ive pattern. When you watch discussion think about the context in which you migh
t use code to express your ideas and why you think these ideas are important to
visualise or bring into the world.
