MEDICAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Medical Admission Test 2014 Notice for admission test will take place in the old
system. In this year also, they continue the earlier or old system of admission tests
of MBBS and BDS courses in the medical and dental colleges in the country. The
government decided to continue medical and dental admission test 2014 in view of
widespread support for the admission system. So medical admission test 2014 stay
this year.
On April 10, 2014 Health Minister Dr. A.F.M.Ruhal Haque said that the
government decided to continue with admission tests for admission to the medical
and dental colleges in the country. Principals of various medical colleges suggested
retention of the medical admission test, and leaders of the Bangladesh Medical
Association and the Bangladesh Private Medical Practitioners Association also
supported it.
Earlier the government initially scrapped the MBBS and BDS admission test, but
had to restore it following a court order, followed by student protests.
MBBS and BDS admission notice will be published after the HSC exam. Medical
admission test for Government and Private Medical College for session 2014-2015
will be held like previous years. Application form must be filled up through online

Requirement for Medical Admission test 2014:
1. Students must be Bangladeshi Citizen.
2. Students who have passed the SSC / Equivalent Exam before 2009 need not to
Apply.
3. Students who have passed the HSC / Equivalent (with Physics, Chemistry,
Biology) in 2011 and 2012.
4. Total GPA 8.0 in SSC and HSC and GPA 3.5 in each of SSC and HSC and
minimum GPA 3.50 in Biology.
5. Hill Districts and Tribal candidates must have total GPA 7.0 in SSC and HSC
and GPA 3.0 in each of SSC and HSC and minimum GPA 3.50 in Biology.
6. For GCE: 05 (best five) Subjects in O-Level and 03 (three) subjects
(Biology, Chemistry & Physics) in A-level.
Must submit Equivalency Certificate from Health Department by depositing
Tk. 1000/-

Admission test Procedure of MBBS and BDS admission test 2012-2014:
Total Seat: Varies
Total Marks: 200
100 marks form SSC & HSC GPA
(SSC GPAX8= 40 & HSC GPA X12= 60)
Another 100 marks (MCQ) will be written test
(Physics-20, Chemistry-25, Biology-30, English -15 & General Knowledge -10)
0.25 marks will be minus for each wrong answer.
Medical Admission Notice 2014 will be published most probably on last week
of August.

When Medical Admission Test 2014 Will be held?
Data analysis of previous years informs that medical admission test generally holds
after 2 months/60 days of HSC result. This year HSC result published on August 3,
2014. Most probably medical admission test will be held on September 27, 2014.
The other possible date for medical admission test is October 4, 2014.
